The Halkavia J-57 Tornado is a multinational twin-engine, canard delta wing, multirole fighter. The Halkavia Tornado designed and manufactured by a consortium of Fokker N.V., Castarcian Aerospace and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries under the joint holding company Halkavia Aerospace B.V.. The Halkavia Tornado sees active service in the Royal Atmoran Air Force, Imperial Castarcian Air Force, and the Royal Mizuhese Air Force.

Development of the Tornado began with the Royal Atmoran Air Force seeking to replace its Messchaert J-39 Merel fighter aircraft, seeking a dedicated air superiority fighter aircraft. Fokker had begun development on it's XJ-56, interest by the Imperial Castarcian Air Force in 1986 and renewed interest to build upon the Castarco-Atmoran joint aircraft development of the Halkavia J-46 Tempest. Fokker and Castarcian Aerospace began joint development on the J-57, taking it's first maiden flight in 27 March 1994 from Vliegbasis Ramskapelle, Gallia. The Halkavia Tornado first entered Atmoran service in 17 December 1997, being designated as the J-57 Tornado. The Tornado would enter Castarcian service on the 7 February 1998 being designated as the Tornado FGR.1.
