Hilda MacDowell (21 June 1924) is a retired Erebonian officer who served under the Special Operations Executive during the Second Europan War.

Hilda is the youngest of her siblings, and the only daughter of her parents. Her family is well known in the city, being a part of the upper classes. Prior to the start of the war, Hilda was initially arranged to be married but she objected. As a result, she was kept from the public eye until Imperial forces began to raid her hometown, causing her family to flee Crossbell. She decided to take up the choice of enlisting in the army, which her parents were strongly opposed to. Successfully passing on her enlistment, she became a part of the Erebonian Auxiliary Service Force. Despite repeated attempts by her brothers in the army to take her home, she was able to resist. Later on, she was assigned to Jutland-Gimli, where she was recruited to Ragnite Company. Here, Hilda developed a strong bond with the members, including Harry Magbaredge, who had his eyes set on her since their first meeting.

Following the war, Hilda introduced Harry to her parents, in which they were disgusted by her choice of a man. Her brothers tried to kick Harry out of the house but Hilda refused. Harry was later heeded on with a fist fight by Hilda's elder brother, who belittled him for his short height. The fight ended with Harry winning over Hilda's brother. As a result, Harry earned her parents respect and eventually gave in. They accepted Harry as the man who can make her daughter happy. They were married a month later.

Hilda and Harry latter settled in Chelsea, Lucis where they raised 4 children. Despite having no direct relation, Hilda is the adoptive grandmother of Darzana Magbaredge, an operative of the ILESOC. Theodore Magbaredge is also another member of ILESOC, whom is assigned under the command of his stepsister.
