The Kaoroan Republic was the official government of Kaoro from 1932 to 1972, under the Federal republic that followed the Kingdom.
History
Formation
The Kaoroan Republic was formed by the Kaoroan Revolution against the Kingdom of Kaoro, when the ruling Kaorkilao, Pajdo la IV tried to remove the popular Ŝtatreformoj, a series of reforms that started statebuilding the Kaoroan nation, before only an absolute monarchy under the Kilao dynasty. The population was extremely upset with the attempts to destroy the reforms, and protested. The protests turned violent once Pajdo refused to accept the demands to halt the repeals immediately. Eventually, the protesters broke into the Kilao Palace and Pajdo and his family escaped the country. A republic was declared as the ruling family was no longer inside of the country.
World War
On June 15, 1950, the Dominion of the Sanguine Church launched a surprise invasion of Kaoro. The Kaoroan army, unprepared, were unable to defend, leading to the takeover of Kaoro City by the 22nd.
Anglatago
The Anglatago or English Day, happened on October 28, 1966 when the Kaoroan government, moved to make life better for English speakers in Kaoro, with main reforms adding English as an official language nationwide, & requiring governmental agencies also send messages in English. October 28 is a Federal holiday of Kaoro for English speakers to celebrate inclusion.
Fall
Several Kaoroan officers, following extreme views & dislike towards the English speakers of Kaoro, launched a coup d'etat against the Kaoroan government on April 4, 1972, forming the People's Federal Socialist States of Kaoro. The government of the Kaoroan Republic remained in-exile, and kept holding elections for Kaoroi who fled the country because of the new regime. Such government-in-exile was ended by the following Kaoro Provisional Government during the civil war against the Socialist regime, which was a direct continuation of the government-in-exile, with the same leaders who had returned to Kaoro in rebel-held territory.
Politics
The government was extremely one sided for most of the Republic's rule, as the newly-founded Kaoro Revolutionary Party took provisional power from 1932, until the 1934 Kaoroan Federal election, where the KRP, extremely popular, won in a landslide against the Kaoro People's Movement. The KRP dominated again in 1938, 1942, and 1946. Kaoro went into crisis when the Dominion of the Sanguine Church surprise-invaded Kaoro and Avergnon, which began their involvement in the World War. Due to this, the KRP assumed emergency power and immediately postponed the 1950 election, which in turn was held in 1954, where a wave of patriotic support for the Kaoroan governmental resistance to the DSC led to the KRP being reelected for its 5th term.
Despite the victory, the KRP spilt over the status of English speakers in the country, a minority which had started rapidly growing, espically in major cities, and 2 major factions. The People Party leaned against the idea of a national language spilt, and in turn promoted Kaoroan language identity. Federal Choice supported the right of English speakers to be able to speak their native tounge and the ability to peacefully co-exist. The time before the next election in 1958 is known for major internal violence in Kaoro, an era nicknamed the Idealanaciomilito, or the ideal nation war. During the time, many people felt agreement towards the People Party's idea of national language unity, which led to their victory in the 1958 election. However, the party had terrible policies, which led to instability in the country.
