The group has been noted for its often brutal and aggressive tactics in warfare and suppressing dissent, gaining notariaty in the Hisrea War for its bombardment and seige of Huad. The group came into international prominence during the Zalluabed civil war, when its actions including massacres and indiscriminate bombings of Tuim, Kubani, and Toutmoul gained the organization notariaty.
