The Hon. Lord of Mjenh-lang PC OA (Shinasthana: 汶陽侯, mjenh-lang-go; Feb. 1, 1755 – Oct. 15, 1829) was a Themiclesian civil servant, military officer, and politician. He served as Prime Minister of Themiclesia twice from 1817 to 1821 and again from 1825 to 1829. He enjoyed an aristocratic upbringing and entered civil service in 1777 via regional election and was consistently regarded as an intelligent administrator. He joined the Lord of Gar-lang in founding the Conservative Party as pro-peace faction at court in 1795 and assisted him to acquire control over the Council of Protonotaries in 1800.
Mjenh-lang was Gar-lang's trusted partner, serving as Cabinet Secretary, Finance Secretary, then Deputy Prime Minister. His accession to power was late due to Gar-lang's long tenure as prime minister and the weakening of the Conservatives in the mid-1810s, due to a series of scandals that dimmed confidence in their politics. After politically ousting Lord Kjalh-djeng in 1817, Mjenh-lang came to power and largely imitated his style of governance, which was popular until he was instructed by the crown to argue for rebuilding the navy. Emperor Krjang dismissed Mjenh-lang due to his involvement in the cession of Norfeld to Maverica, but he returned to power after Krjang died in 1825. His second term was marred by declining health and disputes with the throne. Mjenh-lang died in 1829.
