Michael Irving (8 February 1988) is an Erebonian officer currently serving as part of Task Force 141.

Irving was born to a wealthy family with strong links to the Rieveldt family. His family was close with the latter until a scandal rocked the company, in which Michael's uncle aimed to sell low-quality products for a high price, which Claire's father had tried to stop. As a result, Claire's family broke away. Following a tragedy that claimed Claire's parents and her younger brother, Claire stayed with her adoptive brother until she migrated to the East Empire, following her uncle there.

In 2008, Michael and Claire reunited and joined the Railway Military Police. When Claire left the force at the request of her uncle, Michael was upset but hoped to be reunited with her adoptive sister soon. In 2016, she was reunited with her sister, in which at the time, was working for the Geheimabteilung. Michael did not know of it until Claire's lover, Emrick Brennan had revealed it to him. Michael hoped that Emrick could convince her to join them in the side. Following Claire's defection, the two adoptive siblings reunited with Michael eventually granting his blessing to Emrick as Claire's lover. Michael was present at the couple's wedding in 2019.

During the Erebonian Civil War, Michael, along with his close friends, Henry Keith, John Berg, and Magnus-Georg Blumentritt found themselves joining Task Force 141. Although having no special operations training, the 4 men demonstrated themselves to be capable men in the field to the point that Field Marshal Kiriya Kitagawa offered them a position in the force, which they accepted.
