Name

Narinjinsperi's name comes from the name of the mountain range which Gregoria is located in, the Narinjinsperi Mountain Range.

History

A Narinjinsperi 'Skidoo Jacket', which it is most well known for.

Narinjinsperi was found in 1987 by Kathryn Darsalia, whose family owns Beso-Bukia the oldest distillery in the Gregorian Plateau. She purchased Green Sport Mount Gori S.p.A., a small backpack company, from a Anan artisans. The headquarters was moved to Ananuri, initially starting to produce backpacks and travel bags with about fifteen employees. The Bering Bag, a waxed canvas duffel bag marketed to travellers that was the first product to carry the Narinjinsperi name.

At the turn of the 1990s, the brand changed it's focus onto apparel and sportswear in which brigth colors were dropped and start designing and producing clothing and accessories, and introduced its signature Skidoo jacket, a lightweight, rain-proof, anorak designed for extreme temperatures. The brand became incredibly popular for skiing in the late 1990s.

The company continued to add to its product range in the 2000s. In 2002, the Narinjinsperi Kids clothing line was introduced, followed by Narinjinsperi footwear in 2007. The first Narinjinsperi store opened in Potia, Encessia in 1997. Since then, the company has consistently added stores and opened its 100th in Sopava in 2012. That year, the first Eastern Narinjinsperi store opened in Guri, Riamo.

Branding

Narinjinsperi incorporates imagery into its branding to accentuate the themes of travel, adventure and environmental consciousness. Its logo is the company's name rendered in half-positive and half-negative block letters to suggest the North Pole and South Pole in graphic form. The flag of Gregoria is also employed to evoke that country's extreme conditions, dramatic landscapes, and tradition of famous explorers.
