Relations between North Kabu and South Kabu (Kabuese: Kabupik Lor – Hubungan Kabupik Kidul) have been extremely tense since the Treaty of X. Formerly a united state that was annexed by Estmere the Kabu archipelago has been divided into North Kabu and South Kabu since the end of the Kabu Civil War. North Kabu has been governed by a series of military dictatorships and democratic governments while South Kabu is a one-party state which is ruled by the Kabuese Section of the Workers' International (BKMI). Both nations claim sovereignty over the other and refuse to recognise the other. South Kabu also claims ownership over Nouvel Anglet (Gaullica) and Kingsport (Estmere) which it claims were illegally invaded and occupied. North Kabu historically claimed the entirety of the Kabu archipelago as well but dropped it's claim to Nouvel Anglet and Kingsport in 199X.
