Qahazi Catholics, also known as Qizaas, are ethnic Zalluabedi adherents of the Church of Verdusa. They have a total population of roughly 616,000, 95% of whom live in ancestral communities in Zalluabed, Albarine, and Emmiria.

Zalluabed was a Christian country before the 7th century, and after Islam arrived, the country was gradually Islamised into a majority-Muslim country. However, the Christian communities in the Qahaza peninsula remained strong and was recognized by the Zalluabedi government as a religious and ethnic minority with generally the same rights as muslim citizens.
