IlIl, also known as Four, is a 2019 Garetolian dramedy film, starring Popo Kalaka and Leka Manasa. It was featured in the 2019 Garetolian Film Festival, where it won the GFFA.
The word "Il'il" is a Garetolian word literally meaning "humor" or "comedy". The name was stylized as IlIl so that it would look like four I's; which is why the film is also known as Four because the title may be interpreted as a Roman Numeral Four.[1] In reality, the numeral is written as "IV", which adds to the comedic effect.
Plot
Following a recent nationwide Antivirus Scam, Alo, a man in poverty (Popo Kalaka), decides he has had enough and files a class-action lawsuit against the government. While at the federal court, the government points out that the antivirus scam was administered by the company the man works at, which causes him to lose the case. After he realizes this, Alo decides to quit his job and start working for the government under the pseudonym Daniel Forester, which he has to hide from the real Daniel Forester. While working for the government, he meets a woman (Leka Manasa) named Melela, who helps him investigate. While looking for evidence, Daniel finds out that the company for which he previously worked was subsidized by the government, only days before the scam. He decides to reopen the case, revealing himself to be Alo. He announces the evidence to the court, and he wins, and everyone is repaid their money.
