Antero Rahikainen (21 May 1921) is a retired Balambian soldier who served during the Second Europan War and in the War of Lorican Aggression.
Rahikainen grew up being fond of hunting, as his father was a hunter. Hence, Rahikainen gained an excellent experience in marksmanship. During the Estharian Civil War, Rahikainen would lose his father and wanted to carry his father's legacy by enlisting in the army. Unfortuantely, he was too young and had to wait until in 1941, when he officially enlisted after he turned 20. He would find himself under the command of Sgt. Harri Rokka, whom he would later develop a close friendship with. They were later on assigned to the Vuorijalkaväkirykmentti, where Rahikainen's marksmanship skills were often utilised by Rokka. Rahikainen would also be the youngest recipient of the Grand Cross of Balamb, in which he was awarded during an encounter with Quenminese forces during the Middle East Campaign.
Later on, he and a few Balambian and Estharian troops were to be transferred to the Special Air Service, specifically under one of its unit, Crown Company. Here, he developed a close friendship with Keith Varrot, a Gallian member of the unit who was fond of Balambian culture, and even using a Balambian M28/30 Nagant. Rahikainen would also meet his lover, Marja-Liisa Mielonen following her transfer and request by Rokka for a medic squad in the unit.
Following the war, He and Mielonen would marry and have 4 children. He is the grandfather of Jussi Rahikainen, a member of the Balambian Intelligence Unit under ILESOC.
