The Shodiax Vaitrel Iede is the second in command league for the Shodiax League System, which promotes into the Shodiax Piruen Iede. The league is also the buffer between the major league (Piruen) and the Semi-Pro leagues (Reɣialns Suspelk). Popularity for the league is, although seldom, present, with many sponsors making large deals with clubs that have potential to promote into the Piruen. The league was founded along with the system in 1953, after Frarstizk's Independence had caused the break-up of the Harletical Fiutvel Iede and soon afterward the Sciedfelt Stretch. The league has always consisted of 18 clubs since foundation.

Early Years

Along with the Piruen and other leagues, the Shodiax Vaitrel was founded in 1953 with the formation of the Shodiax League System. The very first set of clubs for the Vaitrel were determined by a short preseason comprised of non-major and former Harletical clubs, and the top 6 would begin in the Piruen while the other 18 would begin in the Vaitrel. This was carried out, but after Thres Sprevin, a major former Harletical club, voluntarily started in the Vaitrel, Lardes FC, the 7th place competitor in the short preseason, started in the Piruen instead.

The Vaitrel was deeply underappreciated compared to the Piruen, as the league was still young, and in excuse to local clubs, had almost no mention. The population in the early years was interested in the playstyle rather than the culture of it all, which further explains the little attention. However, as time moved on and the fans engaged more and more into their respective clubs, the Vaitrel began to receive plenty of sponsorships, which helded the system grow to its stable environment we see today.

Integration into Shodiax League System

The Shodiax Vaitrel is the second-highest league and level of the enitre system, and the lowest of the main/professional leagues of the nation. The Vaitrel is also considered the buffer between the top league and the the Semi-Pro leagues in the Reɣialns Suspelk.

At the end of each season, the champion and runner-up will promote into the Piruen, and the two lowest from the Piruen will replace those slots. On the other hand, the Vaitrel also hosts one relegation spot to the Reɣialns Suspelk. The trick here is that, if the cardinal direction that the relegator and promoter does not match up, the Auto Pro/Rel system must take place. This is an overly complex system that attempts to keep all leagues in the system with their designated number of competitors each season.

All clubs that play in the Vaitrel Iede are also eligable to compete in the HFZ Kurn, a tournament of 64 teams, all inside of Hiblund. All of these competitions are not completely mandatory, but they are encouraged via pay-outs for participation.

2020-2024

From 2015-2019, the Vitrel Iede and all lower leagues protested, stopping play for five years. The years following the Vaitrel Iede Protests came with strange behavior from the lower leagues. This called the higher-ups to consider expansion to 20 teams in both the Piruen and Vaitrel, which was finalized by the end of the 2022-23 season. The 2023-24 season will come with three automatic promotions, and only one automatic relegation from the Piruen. A playoff between the 17th placed Piruen and the 4th placed Vaitrel team will play to decide who will play in the 2024-25 Piruen and Vaitrel Seasons. There will still be 1 relegated from the Vaitrel, but 5 will promote from different leagues in the Rumtiajik in concordance.

2025 onwards

From the 2024-25 season and onwards, there will be twenty teams instead of 18, and three teams automatically transferred from the Piruen and Vaitrel each year, and three between the Vaitrel and Rumtiajik.
