The 4th Division or 4th Rubrumian Armoured Division is a division of the Rubrumian Army that first served during the First Europan War. Initially created as an infantry division, it was consequently converted into an Armored division during the Second Europan War onwards. The division serves as one of Rubrum's primary army divisions and currently, its principle armoured formation. It is currently stationed at Fort Daidoji Kitagawa.
The division has been well known throughout history, earning several honours and recognitions. Its distinctions include:
- Has the longest frontline combat service than any other Rubrumian Division;
- One of the Rubrumian Army's most decorated formations;
- The only Allied division that participated in more than one beach landing during the Second Europan War;
- praised by both Allied and Imperial generals throughout history, earned praised by Grand General Cheon Sang-ji, and was responsible for blunting several Imperial thrusts by General Hilde Gertrud Aschelmann during the First Europan War, and against Quenminese Marshal Hồ Danh Sĩ Quốc, Ruzhite General Olav Timasheff, Archadian Marshal Hugo Cavallero, and Imperial General Lodi Jaeger during the Second Europan War, and;
- The only Allied Division that took on divisions from principle Imperial nations.
The Division spearheaded one of the most famous military actions in history, known as Operation Surrogate, also known as "Kurosawa's March to the North", in which Lucis Commonwealth forces marched along Joyonghea's eastern seaboard and breaching the Quenminese colony of Churongchandat that denied any form of escape for the Imperial forces during the Third Joyonghean-Quenminese War, which would lead to one of the biggest encirclements in military history that culminated during the Hyesong Gap.
In present times, the 4th Division currently serves as part of the Lucis Commonwealth Armies in Erebonia and is under the command of General Yonaharu Susaya.
