Eteisrannikko is the most western kingdom even if karmanjaka is the realm that extends the furthest to the west and it has also the distinction of being the last independent Scanderan realm to be conquered by the auf Stjärnkhrone house. However even before and after the annexation so have Eteisrannikko played a very important part of politics as it quickly became one of the largest and most politically influential realms in the federation and it could quickly rival the political power Vedian possessed.

While it lacks the mining industry of Vedian and it cannot match the massive agricultural industry of southern Imeriata have Eteisrannikko compensated for this by having a large lumber industry as well as a rather large manufacturing industry in the cities.

While Eteisrannikko still officially have the same pseudo feudal social structure that both Imeriata and Vedian shares so are the people living here also firstly loyal to their closest city which is a remnant of the old city state system that existed before them joining the absolute royal federation and in a lot of cases so is it the cities rather than the lords that rules the cities that people are loyal to and it is not uncommon to introduce oneself as "name from Vesiki" if your are from Vesiki.

Eteisrannikko's nature is rather similar to that of Imeriata proper and just as Imeriata proper so is most of Eteisrannikko covered in large forests that is made out of pinetrees in the north and gradually makes way for normal leaftrees in the south.

The southern parts of the nation does once again mimics the ones in Imeriata proper and one can find large amounts of golden farms and fields there. The coastline of Erathia differ from the one in Imeriata slightly since it is just not the large uninterrupted shore that Imeriata has but it gradually changes from pure sand shores in the east to rocky and finally the large cliffs that can be found in north western Scandera.

However where Eteisrannikko really differs from Imeriata is the waterways since instead of the Imerian rivers so are Eteisrannikko covered in large lakes and swamps are also common amongst the forests, this have even given the nation it's nickname "Sjöarnas land" or "the land of lakes".

In the north of Eteisrannikko so can one find first find highlands and hills that gradually makes way for the south western parts of the Vedian mountain chain.

Climate

Despite being located so far to the south so have Eteisrannikko often thanks to the wind and the cold sea cold short summers followed by long snow filled winters. Temperatures varies between 15 Celsius in the summer and - 20 in the winter as a general rule.

Flora and fauna

Just as the rest of Scandera so is Eteisrannikko the home of large forests of pine trees, oaks, beeches, elms, ashs, birches, yews and willows that some times give way to large fields either natural ones and the characteristic lakes surrounded by willows and reed.

Just as in most other Scanderan realms so are the lush forests populated with bears, wolves, elks, Lindormar and the Erathian forest wyvern that is the smallest Scanderan wyvern and it only reaches the size of a man's forearm and in the north dragons, Scanderan mountain wolves and Vedian mountain wyverns. The coast is also home to large populations of seals that lives on the fish in the ocean that they share with whales of all kinds.

History

The history of Eteisrannikko starts with the third human migration when the modern Erathian's ancestors moved from the northern iceplains down to Scandera proper just as the Vedians and Imerians had done before them. This migration did not only totally destroy the last remnants of the Wharen empire and the same species but it also pushed back both vedians and Imerians that had to move north and east to get away from the new tribal way which resulted in a series of inter tribal wars in both the Imerian and Vedian lands.

Just as the Imerians and Vedians had done so did the Erathians quickly went to fight a large series of wars against their non-human populations which ended in the establishment of a large coalition of Erathian tribes and emerging city states while the non-humans were subjugated which firmly placed the entire continent under human rule.

The time that followed were a time of conflicts as the Erathians fought first Vedians in the Vedian/Eteisrannikko wars which were replaced with the Eteisrannikko/Stjärnkhrone war when the Vedian kingdom were taken over by the Stjärnkhrone noble house and both nations joined together against Eteisrannikko. This war ended first in 1521 when Eteisrannikko was officially declared a part of what would later be the absolute royal federation and Gustav rex Stjärnkhrone III were crowned king of Eteisrannikko.

The time that followed were a rather peaceful one as Eteisrannikko quickly grew up to becoming a very important realm in the absolute royal federation and soldiers from Eteisrannikko supported federal troops both on the battlefield but also as peacekeepers in newly annexed territories.

When high queen Erika declared herself high queen of the absolute royal federation in 1863 so were Eteisrannikko neutral and watched as southern and central Imeriata went to war for their queen against Northern Imeriata proper and Vedian that raised the banners of the rightful king Sven rex Stjärnkhrone. However as more and more of the non-scanderan realms either were locked in uprisings for independence or joining Sven so did it become more and more obvious that the Erathian leadership could just not stand on the side as both monarchs tried to get them over to their side. So in 1867 did the Erathians decided to join forces with high king Sven and were eventually part of the victorious Svenoliner in the war.

The time that followed was one of industrialisation and just like much of Scandera so did large factories open in Eteisrannikk and with them followed large workers right groups that protested the conditions that workers lived in. While Imerians and Vedians both took it for granted that you should obey your lords and social betters so did Erathian workers organise themselves and protested and started strikes while the royal merchant guild and the local lords and army tried to stop these groups as often as possible.

As tensions between the poor and the rich were growing so did various syndicalist, socialist and communist parties joined forces as a united front against the establishment while the crown and nobility fortified itself as best as it could against the coming storm. What later on became the Imerian civil war started in Vederis during the red weekend in 1918 when a series of protests escalated to riots and later on open rebellion against the crown by the leftist groups that took the city with armed militia and proudly proclaimed themselves as the rulers of the free peoples democratic confederation of the Scanderan peasantlands and that everyone not of noble blood should join them.

Their mass revolt on all fronts as they expected did not happen however and since it was an Erathian idea so did almost entire Vedian declare their support for the high king and Imeriata proper itself were divided with the east joining the revolutionaries and joined the revolution while the south rose up but were quickly crushed by loyalists in the region and quite a few colonial realms were either struggling with independence movements or fighting uprisings supporting the syndicalists back home.

The revolutionaries themselves were quickly mobilised their entire army and launched a massive offensive which caught the spread out and still mobilising guardsmen off guard and the syndicalists managed to push almost until the walls of Imerbürg where they were stopped and spent the rest of the war in a slow but steady retreat with the exception of the local offensive and victory here and there and in 1922 so had the royal guard finally been able to recapture all of Eteisrannikko and turned their eyes to the colonies that needed to be rescued and/or re-conquered.

The time that followed were one often called "Re-subjectication" and lasted from 1923 to 1929 during which the Erathian people were taught about the horror they had caused and why they should be ashamed of what they had done. Something that can be felt even to this day when most Erathians even today are raised from childhood knowing that they forever have a debt to pay to the federation for their treachery and that they have a racial duty to serve their fatherland.
