Karmanjaka is one of the poorest federal realms lacking much in the way of agriculture or industry instead does it have to rely on whaling and fishing to provide it's living. Karmanjaka is also one of the minor Scanderan realms and has as a result not had a era of great power on the continent itself like Imeriata proper, Vedian or Eteisrannikko. The karmanjakans themselves are a sturdy people and are well known for their fearsome battle axe, The Karmanjakan axe

What also separates the Karmanjakans from most of the Scanderans that is not from the northern iceplains is their lack of a well established nobility and instead is the realm divided into tribal organisations that all send a representative to the allting where that acts as the Jarl's court with legal powers of their own.

The Karmnajakans themselves are a sturdy people that often dress in black or grey with a few pieces of cloth in purple or red on their clothes and large axes or daggers often visible on their thick clothes.

Geography

Karmanjaka is a mountainous realm lacking much in the way of vegetation or fauna so instead is it covered in dry fields, apline tundra, grass plains and cliffs just as the coastline consists mostly of steep cliffs or rocky shoreline. The land lacks percsiously little in trees due to the windy nature and the grass itself offers little for mammoths and sheep to herds.

What however makes Karmanjaka so important as a region is the fact that one can find the ancient passes pass which lies between the ancient mountains mountain and the ancient rivers river which is one of the largest and safest passage ways over the Vedian mountain chain and between Southern Scandera and the northern iceplains.

Climate

The climate is cold and windy with temperatures varying between 10 Celsius in the summer and - 20 in the winter with strong winds being very common all the year around.

Flora and fauna

While the region itself lacks much in the way of tree so is it home to several types of grass and wild flowers. However it has a small but still noticeable wildlife as various kinds of rats, mouses, foxes, birds make their home in the grassy regions and Karmajaka is also the home of not only the Imerian dwarf Mammoth but it is also the home region of the Western Scanderan mountain dragons.

Culture

The largest difference between Karmanjaka and the rest of the Scanderan continent lays on a spiritual level as the Karmanjakans are followers of the holy chronicles but they follow the Karmanjakan sect of Chronology and the dragon spirit, a sub sect of chronocaly that is still very important in the realm.

More so so are the houses and clothes worn by people from Karmanjaka often less decorated and ornate than those worn by rest of Scanderans to the degree that people from Karmanjaka is often seen as a boring and colourless lot.

History

While Karmanjaka lacked the massive fleets and armies of Imeriata, the large citizen militia of Eteisrannikko, the heavily armoured Huskarls from Vedian or the large cavalry forces of Lapparna in the northern iceplains so did they produce horrendous effective light infantrymen that fought with heavy axes that were for centuries able to crush any Vedian army that tried to threaten them and a die hard dissipline that were easily able to shatter the militia employed by the Erathians just as they were able to hold the passes against trolls, humans and goblin both on mammoth, horse and Wolf from the iceplains that tried to press down into the southern lands and by extent loot Karmanjaka itself.

While it did not partake in large raiding expeditions that the Vedians, Erathians, jarnöborna and the Imerians did nor were it able to commit large scale invasions of the other realms but what they were able to do was to be excellent mercinaries in most Scanderan armies and they were more than once themselves able to shatter Invasions from their larger neigbours or able to fend of realms from Jarnöarna.

It is also noted for being one of the few people that actually managed to tame dragons and use them in combat on the Scanderan mainland even if more than one story are known about these beasts being the prey of balistas or crossbows when they took them to the field but even to this day is almost the entire Federal dragon rider corps and Wyvern cavalry recruited from this realm.
