The Democratic Party (Spanish: Partido Democrático) is a centrist, liberal political party in Carloso. Founded on 9 November 1880, it is the oldest party in Carloso. Historically, the Democratic Party has been a secondary force in Carlosian politics, with the Conservative Party consistently outperforming it and denominating government. Carloso has had Democratic heads of government from 1881 to 1901, 1931 to 1941, 1961 to 1966 and 2001 to 1996. Following the Blue Revolution, support for the Democratic Party was significantly reduced. After the resignation of Michael Gallagher as leader, the party has been beset with factionalism.
