Department 7B2, known formally during the Imperial Crisis as the Allied Forces International Task Force for Cybernetic Operations and during the Arachnid Drug War as ILESOC Cyber Department, is a military-sponsored group of experts and specialists in cybernetic operations. Members of this group originate from the Allied nations of Concordia and the Soryu, Joyonghea, Quenmin and the United Kingdom.
Background
Group Operational History
Network Security and Threat Level Criteria
7B2 retains a criteria of designating a level of network security and threat alike according to the group's standards, which is known formerly as the "Department 7B2 Network Security and Threat Level Criteria." The list also applies to nodes within a network (e.g., server, desktop, laptop).
Security and threat levels are designated codenames. The codenames are colors and are directly proportional to increasing hue, with the exception of grey and black; grey is deemed the second-highest, and black the highest. Both security and threat levels share the same order of codenames. For the threat levels, each codename encompasses a range of advanced persistent threats, being relatively indirectly proportional to an increasing codename.
APT ranking is also referenced alongside the Criteria.
Color | Security Definition | Threat Definition |
---|---|---|
Yellow | Lowest level of security | Negligible threat (e.g., Rensenware) |
Green | Minor threat | |
Cyan | Moderate threat | |
Blue | Considerable threat | |
Purple | Fourth highest level of security | Considerably dangerous threat |
Red | Third highest level of security | Dangerous threat |
Grey | Second highest level of security | Highly dangerous threat; (e.g., Stuxnet) |
Black | Highest level of security | Extremely dangerous or unknown threat (e.g., Clop Ransomware) |
Personnel
Kerberos Trials
