The Aininian Navy is Ainin's national navy. The second-largest branch of the Aininian Armed Forces, it is composed of 251 warships revolving around a core force of six fleet carriers. The Aininian Navy is supported by 393,030 active personnel, including 33,257 members of the naval aviation branch and 40,557 members of the Aininian Naval Fusiliers Corps. It is the largest navy in Esquarium, both by fleet tonnage and total number of warships. The commander-in-chief of the Aininian Navy is ex officio the President of Ainin, currently Cao Nima, while the operational commander is Chief of Staff Adm. Grégoire de Maisonneuve.
Founded in 1534 by King Martin II, the Navy has historically occupied an exalted position in Ainin's seafaring culture and, owing to the Aininian Army's practice of feudal levies until 1789, comprised the bulk of Ainin's standing military forces through the Naval Fusiliers Corps. It was actively involved in the expansion and protection of Aininian trade, waging the Lazarene War against Oelia and the War of Twilight against Sjealand. During the Aininian Revolution, its personnel defected en masse to the republicans in the Bounèsquebourg Mutiny, decisively severing a key instrument of King Mathieu IV's grasp on power. In modern times, the Aininian Navy has projected Aininian power on a global scale and involved itself in several conflicts in Nordania and Conitia, including the Nautasian Revolutions and the War of the Confederation.

Organisation
The Aininian Navy's supreme command is located in Fort Bonsecours, Huimont, Isle-Royale. The navy is operationally divided into four fleets, the Home Fleet (Flotte métropolitaine), Southern Fleet (Flotte australe), Ponant Fleet (Flotte du Ponant) and Levant Fleet (Flotte du Levant). From 1956 to 1982, there was a fifth fleet, the Northern Fleet (Flotte boréale), which was later merged into the Ponant Fleet. The four fleets are then divided into stations, of which there are thirteen. Both fleets and stations are administrative formations following naval reforms in 1921, and the largest current tactical formation in the Aininian Navy is the carrier battle group.
