On 22 September 2012, Oxonia police were alerted to a car accident in the Redones district of Oxonia. Alan, along with his brother Arthur and uncle [[David of Gelonia|Prince David]], were reported as injured in an accident involved a drunk driver and taken to the hospital. Arthur was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital, while Alan was unconscious and suffered a broken leg, a broken arm, and broken ribs. Likewise, David only suffered non-life threatening injuries. An investigation into the accident concluded that a vehicle driven by Alan was struck by a drunk driver who ignored an intersection traffic signal. The driver of the vehicle that hit Alan's died during the accident.
Immediately following her graduation, Alaina enrolled at the Haribec School of International Affairs at the University of Ghish.
