John X Anicius (Faustus Anicius Gallus Iohannes Theophylactus Alexius; 8 June 1878 – 9 June 1937) was Perateian emperor, and later Latin Emperor. He was the first emperor of the Latin-Perateian personal union.
John was the eldest son of Eusebia I Byzenne and her husband Prince Michael of Latium. He became heir to Perateia and the eastern empire at birth, but was not expected to become Latin Emperor, as he had two uncles and a cousin between him and the Latin throne. John took up a military career after turning 16. In 1898, he married Princess Alexandra of Ghant; they had 6 children, of which 5 survived to adulthood, including future emperor Constantine XIX Anicius. John had a storied military, political and court career, before succeeding to the Perateian throne.
