The Norian Expeditions were a series of endeavors by Merchants in Nori to explore the Inoran Ocean in hopes of finding new trade opportunities. The first successful mission arrived off the coast of Meridiq in what is now Tamazgha in 987.
Following the success other expedition were pursued heading North to Lira as well as South to Neris creating Trans-Inoran and Trans-Muroan Trade Networks. Resulting in an explosion in trade of luxury goods and ideas. The network became more robust over time as different routes were established and maritime technology advanced.
A side effect of the expedition was the outbreak of the Merchant Plague across several continents.
