Labor market
Currency
The Littish labor market is characterized by high union membership and collective agreement coverage (overenskomst) which started in 1913 under prime minister Torsten Einarsen. There are several securities available to unemployed workers as well as initiatives to get people jobs during times of high unemployment. This has contributed to a degree of economic flexibility. A large proportion of the working age population is active on the labor market in some capacity, a recent development following almost 15 years of economic stagnation. The unemployment rate is currently stable at 7.9% while youth unemployment is at 9.6% and falling. Despite there not being a national minimum wage, the average minimum wage is about 18.2$.

The Littish currency is the Littish daler, which is valued at 4.71 DAL to 1 USD. The currency is sometimes referred to as the Littish dollar in some countries. Inflation has been fluctuating the past few decades, reaching its peak in 2003 at just under 10%. The central bank, Littlands Nationalbank, has since then begun to relax certain rules on currency controls although the currency is not widely used internationally. Government intervention has also helped curb the inflation, which now sits at 1.2%. The currency inflation is at 3.06% as of 2021.

Littland has an extensive network of railways, highways and intercity public transport. This network, as part of previous government programs, makes Littland a very interconnected country with low travel times between major cities and economic centers. Littlands energy consumption is primarily fueled coal and fossil fuels with only around 18% of the countries energy production coming from renewables. The state-owned company Littlands Maintenance Company is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and expansion of the countrys railways, highways and airports. Private companies are the primary users of the railway network and freight both cargo and passengers along the network. The infrastructure development has been rather lacking in the southern region of the country with expansion much more frequent in the northern regions and around the capital, Kaslund.
Aalhavn Port
Being located on the Amber Lake the port of Aalhavn is the primary and largest port for international trade in Littland. Aside from trade, Aalhavn is also home to a majority of the Littish Navy. The port is the largest container port in Littland and is managed by Fergo InterTrade since 1999 who employ 560 people in the primary port area. In 2021 Aalhavn Port processed over 63 million tons of freight, around 60% of which was passing through Littland.
