Cosmic Vermillion Armor (Hurite language: 𒊹𒈬 𒋡𒀭𒉡 𒈗𒆠𒂗𒀀, lit. Divine Cloth of Imdugud; Japanese: 天空朱雀の鎧) is a combat body armor owned by Mugen, and was used during the World War 3 and briefly in the War of Dusk and Dawn. It is of the highest class of many armors used by Hurite knights, with comparable to that of the Angels' armors.

History

The armor itself has a rather vague history, but Hurite records have shown that the armor was made during the Age of Unification in New Eden, sometime around 2100 ET (1112 AD). It was known to be made from the most precious gold, believed to have descended from the heaven, by the legendary Hurite blacksmith, Galadrim.

It was used by Marzai, the commander of the Hurite army during the Invasion of the Devil in 3018 AD. After Marzai's death, the armor was stored in the deepest part of Grand Citadel of Tikvah, as the armor itself reject every Hurite candidates attempted to wearing it. It was not until it chose Mugen as a being worthy of wearing it, most likely because of the Heavenly Jade fused within his body, after rigorous training around 3026 ET.

Appearance

The armor in its box form

The armor's shape is akin to Earth's medieval knight armor, although its more futuristic, and has gold-coloured design. In its fully activated form, the top part of the armor transforms into a full-face helmet, with a darkened, almost-transparent shield protecting the face.

The middle and lower part transforms into a full body armor, covering the entire body of its wearer from top to bottom, with strengthened parts in vital areas. The wings are protruding from the back-upper part of the armor, and serves as a feature that allows its user to fly at supersonic speed. Although, for users capable of flying, its only used for cosmetic purposes.

When not in use, the armor transforms into a medium-sized, box-shaped artifact with ornaments symbolizing the Vermillion Bird engraved on each sides of the box. The box is stored in a sub-space inside a vermillion bird-shaped pendant. It is fully activated by enchanting the word "armor on". The armor will come out of the sub-space and attach accordingly to the wearer's body, following the traces of internal energy. Every transformation takes around 3.46 seconds.

Specification

The armor uses the wearer's energy to activate its celestial mechanisms. When the wearer's energy connects with the armor, it forms a strong shield around them, protecting them with a glowing aura. While powerful, the armor can be destroyed, but only by the strength on par with the highest angel. During the World War 3, the Devil was capable of damaging the armor heavily, almost destroying it.

The Cosmic Vermilion Armor can handle extremely hot and cold temperatures. It can endure freezing cold at -273.15 degrees Celsius (Absolute Zero) and 142 nonillion kelvins—the highest possible temperature. This ability lets the armor withstand powerful forces, even those comparable to a big bang, and allows for incredibly fast combat--even close to the speed of light.
