Daybreaker (暁光剣, Lit. The Light Bringer ?) is a spear-sword weapon owned by Sword Saint. It is regarded as the "sword of the end", the light of destruction coming down from the heavens, whose power is said to rival the Holy Sword.
Daybreaker takes the appearance of a sword with rigged edge and bluish fuller and silver central ridge. It has a length akin to that of a lance. The grip itself is small and thin, and the crossguard is shaped similar to a lightning.
Abilities
Daybreaker is a sword that amplifies energy, converting its user's internal energy into offensive power and releasing it. It is a weapon of directive energy that converts the internal energy of its user into light by accelerating it, intensifying the kinetic energy by convergence and acceleration. The further the user pushes it forward, the more energy it'll generate, hence Sword Saint always take a leap backward before using his phantasm art to maximize the sword's attack power. The ability of the sword itself is a phantasm art called the "March of Heavens" (which, is now claimed by the Sword Saint as his own).
Once the user pushes the sword forward as far as they can, the attack's target point will be directed at the tip. Its enormous power heats space around the tip, and as a result, it will create a massive beam of light once the user stops. Even if it is dodged, those in close proximity can still be temporarily distracted by its intensity. The maximum range of its beam is around ~1 km.
In Sword Saint's hand, the sword can be considered to be among the greatest weapons, with its speed, attack power, and reach upon being activated surpassing and remaining unrivaled by all others.
Users
The only known user of Daybreaker is Sword Saint. The sword has been in his posession for at least 7 years.
