Adán Ricard Spalderán (born 10 May 1946) is a Carlosian statesman who served as the President of the Executive Council of the Federal Republic of Carloso and commander-in-chief of the Carlosian Armed Forces from 11 February 1996 until 11 February 2001. He was the last President of Carloso to be born before the Emergency War. He has been a National Assemblyman for Valender's 18th constituency since 1976, serving first with the Conservative Party and then National Salvation from 2010 onwards. He was the Leader of the Conservative Party from 1995 to 2001. Though the Conservatives retained a plurality of seats in the 2000 election, he was forced to resign as party leader after being ousted as President of Carloso by a rainbow coalition composed of the Democratic Party, Socialist Republicans, Progressive Conservatives and Green Alternative. He was succeeded by the more liberally minded Montero Irisar as Leader of the Conservative Party. After Irisar entered into a coalition with the Democratic Party in 2006, Spalderán led an unsuccessful attempt to oust him. After the events of the Corrective Revolution in 2010, he joined National Salvation.
