Lena, Princess Royal (Lena Yohnnie Beatriz Oana; b. 9 September 1992) is heir presumptive to the Gelonian throne. Lena is the eldest surviving child of King Arthur XI.

Lena is a graduate of St Riothamus College, a Gelonian language university located in Cantabrigia where she earned first-class honors in PPP. Since graduating in 2015, she has served as the Chairperson for the Gelonian Society of Arts, and the Royal Foundation. In 2018, she married Prince Merrick of Dakmoor. They have one child, Princess Rimoete of Meud.

Family and early life

Lena was born at St Adeodatus University Hospital in Durnovaria, in the county of Trega to parents then Prince Arthur, Duke of Oxonia and his wife Princess Maira of Gaemar. At the time of her birth, Lena was afforded the title Princess of Oxonia due to her father's status as heir apparent to the Gelonia. She was baptized into the Church of Gelonia at St Tugdualus Basilica in Oxonia by a local bishop. Her godparents are Jakodi, King of Gaemar (her mother's father) and Princess Nina, Countess of Eporedia (her father's sister).

Education

Lena attended St Corentin boarding school for the first half of her secondary schooling, with her last two years of secondary education handled by private tutors. She applied to a number of universities, including colleges University of Haenna, University of Abaza, University of the Imperial Coast, and Imperial University, Saint-Nazaire. After a gap year, she enrolled at St Riothamus, a small university located in northwestern Gelonia. She graduated in 2014 with first-class honors in first-class honors in Philosophy, Politics and Policy. Thoughout her college education, Lena has prompted the continued expansion and growth of the Gelonian language throughout Gelonia.

Personal interests

Lena is active in the Gelonian community, where she participates in a numerous charitable enterprises, some of which are funded by her family. She is the Chairperson for the Gelonian Society of Arts, a post she has held since 2015. From 2014 until 2015, she was chief planner for the Royal Foundation, a charitable organization operated by her family. She is also the patron of the Gelonian Youth League, which sponsors events to support the use and growth of the Gelonian language.

She is described to have a love of horses, and equestrianism. Despite this, she has never participated in any tournaments, but often travels throughout Belisaria and the world to spectate events. She is is also a keen swordsman, participating in the Gelonian National Games between 2011 and 2015. Lena finished in second place during the 2013 games in fencing. She regularly attends Ludi Circenses in Castellum ab Alba. Lena is an ice hockey fan, and a supporter of HC Gwer Durnovaria.

Lena is reportedly close to her siblings including her eldest brother, Arthur, who passed away in 1999. In a 2011 interview with G-1, Lena attributed her brother as her greatest influence. Lena's first language is Gelonian though she is also fluent in Ghantish and Latin. She holds varying levels competency in Anglic, Audonias, and X.

Courtship and marriage

Since 2009, Lena has been romantically linked to a number of prominent figures including, Bran Foirbis, Atellus, and even Leo, Prince of Ghant. Lena first public relationship was in 2009, when she dated Bran Foirbis, star player for LMH's HC Gwer Durnovaria. Their relationship was reportedly on and off according to close friends. She and Forbis were often seen together at local night clubs, and team gatherings. Later in 2011, Lena was linked to Latin musician Atellus after he released photographs on his social media that she was invited backstage after a number of his concerts. From 2012 until 2014, she dated a classmate at St Riothamus College.

Lena was rumored to be in a brief relationship with Prince Leo of Ghant in 2017. In February 2017, they were spotted at restaurant in Ghish, Ghant]]. The rumors of a relationship grew stronger after Prince Leo visited Oxonia in March, though neither have ever publicly commented on the existence of a relationship.

Engagement and marriage

On 19 June 2017, the Royal Household confirmed that Lena was courting Prince Merrick of Dakmoor, the second son and third child of Malibar, King of Dakmoor and Elizabeth Mutu. Their courtship was brief, with the King of Gelonia and King of Dakmoor confirming an engagement on 20 November 2017.

Lena and Merrick of Dakmoor were married on 19 April 2018 at Name Basilica, in Place. Lena announced the couple's first pregnancy on her social media accounts in early May 2018, confirming that she was three months pregnant. She gave birth to their first child, Princess Rimoete of Dakmoor, on 18 October 2018. They maintain a home in Durnovaria, and an apartment at the royal estate in Dakar. In December 2018, the Royal Household announced that Lena was expecting her second child, due in July.

Ancestry

Rouanti is a direct descendant of the ancient and medieval kings of Gelonia, including the first non-legendary Gelonian king, Syagrius. Her most recent royal Gelonian ancestor is Hoelig IV "the King Who Knelt", whose reign as King of Gelonia ended following his defeat by the Claudii pretender emperors of Adrianople during the 16th century. Her paternal grandmother is a member Clan Guégani, a prominent Gelonian noble family. Through the Guégani, she is able to trace his ancestry to a number of Latin emperors of the Aemilii dynasty by way of the illegitimate d'Aboa line as Counts of Bonna.

Her mother is a member of the House of Calien, a prominent Ghantish noble family and rulers of the Kingdom of Gaemar.
