Alshamal, officially called the State of Alshamal, is a South Europan country on Eurth. Headed by Sultan $Person, the nations's capital and largest city is Sabah.
Etymology
The name Alshamal means "the north", a reference to its position relative to the rest of Memopotamia.
Geography
(On the NW edge of Memopotamia. Viewed more broadly it's close to the centre of Azania.)
History
(Probably tied into all the other historic happenings in Memopotamia. Could have been a part of Hakenium. Solidly Salamid country.)
Politics

A coup on 15 May 2021 removed Grand Vizier Mamadou bin Sambo, replacing him with a figurehead King. This action was sparked by the Vizier's opposition to the 2021 Anglian War.
Economy
(Main traiding partners are probably neighbouring countries in Azania and whoever is closest through nearby shipping lanes. The country has a tiny coastline.)
