Emperor Seongjo, who declared the Shinzhen Doctrine in 1871.

The Shinzhen Doctrine (Zhenian: 신진선언) was a Imperial Zhenian policy of actively opposing and repelling Auroran imperialism in Tarsis and areas considered the sphere of influence of Zhenia, beginning in 1871. Declared at the third anniversary of the imperial coronation by Emperor Seongjo, it stated that any further inroads into the "what is the heartland of the Zhenian people and the many peoples of Tarsis as a whole" would be "regarded as the direct manifestation of warmongering disposition towards the Empire of Zhenia", while also calling for Zhenia's role in actively stopping and repelling Auroran influence in the area.

The Shinzhen Doctrine had lasting impacts in Zhenian foreign policy for almost a century; stating the objective to free the continent of Tarsis and its peoples from Auroran colonialism and create a "community of and by the people of Tarsis", it was the spearheading ideology of how Zhenia viewed the existence of Auroran powers at the time.
