Tvaude translates into "dual peninsula" due to the two peninsulas that makes up the mainland of the realm. Despite the realm being colonised as late as 2010 so is it still a highly important realm in the federation and heavily defended by the royal and federal navy due to the massive oil reserves that can be found there. These oil reserves makes up the main income of the realm and have made sure the realm have received high interest from the royal merchant guild which allowed the realm to progress quicker than expected.

However despite the realms wealth so is it also a troubled one as rebel groups on the southern peninsula continues to resist federal control and the navy and the royal navy is involved in anti guerilla moments there.

Geography

Most of Tvaude is mostly lowland with the sole exception of the mountains that separates the eastern peninsula from the mainland and marks the federal border in the region with the highest point in the realm being only 2982 meters above sea levels. The majority of the realm however is the large fern forests that covers most of the realm and are only broken up for fields where cattle or domesticated lizards lives or large fields where crops are grown just as the region south of the Vedian mountains are fields separated by large stretches of forests.

The second other region one can notice is the large white beach regions where the semi aquatic creatures of the realm spends most of their time and farms and tribes close to the ocean often have ships and boats to supplement their farming by fishing.

Climate

The climate that Tvaude enjoys is classified as a tropical climate with uniform weather that is hot the year around and differ very little from day to day with temperatures of around 28°C as the standard temperature all around the year. While the year is divided into two periods total, the rain season and the dry season, instead of the four of Scandera so are these seasons very similar and humidity ranges from between 70 in the dry season and 90% in the rain season.

The rain season however is known for not only heavy rainfall but also heavy winds form the east resulting in a lot of storms and heavy rainfall for at least half the year.

Flora and fauna

One of the large Edaphosaurus that dominates the forests

The fauna of Tvaude is mostly dominated by reptilians and the majority of the animal life is various kinds of small four legged reptiles ranging from just a couple of centimetres to the large Edaphosaurus that can reach lengths of three meters. However as there are large coastal regions so can one also find a lot of semi aquatic creatures as the now famous Eryops that have started to spread in the federation due to it's bizarre look that gives even platypuses a run for their money and several kinds of Lepospondyli and it is estimated that there are hundreds of similar reptile races, both aquatic and land living ones in the peninsulas.

However so are the skies also filled with various kinds of birds even if their size is limited and the common seagull is the largest one to date to inhabit the islands even if it is home to several kinds of smaller parrots as well even if large dragonflies also can be found in the skies. As for insects so are these the most common group of animals one can find in the realm and so far have thousands of species been catalogued on the peninsula.

The most interesting feature of the realm however is it's fauna that is mostly consisting mostly of various species of ferns, from large almost tree like behemoths to smaller plants that covers the undergrowth of the large fern jungles that covers it. These unique conditions have made the realm one of a kind in flora and fauna and large efforts have been taken by the federation to keep away foreign races even if problems have arisen as guard geese, rats, cats, foxes and dogs have escaped over the years and seems to spread despite the best efforts from the federal colonial government.

However so have the animals themselves also been exported due to their unique appearances and have popped up in federal zoos and private collections which gives hope for the future of the species living there.

Culture

While the Scanderan culture quickly adopted to the habits and customs of other warm Scanderan societies living in warmer climates with thin tunics made out of cotton rather than the wool ones of the homeland so have they also mixed a lot with the natives and shorter tunics that are either entirely sleeveless or with very short sleeves have started to appear on both natives and Scanderans as simple large broad hats have become something that is commonly used by men and women alike.

Also the female Scanderan clothes have been made thinner as the under dresses have been entirely removed while short sleeves have been added to the outer dresses as well as they have been made of a higher cut around the cleavage to not reveal too much. However so have as is common in the colonies older Scanderan traditions arosen with less powerful nobility than the one in Scandera and there being very little difference economically between a plantation owner or a large farmer than a noble and the two classes often mixes.

There have also been a lot of inspiration from the animals in the region noticeable amongst the colonists as the native animals have appeared more frequently on heraldry from the realm and during the 1538 and 1539 years annual federal jousting tournament did men from Tvaude ride with a large sail from the native Edaphosaurus on their backs rather than the two wings that most Scanderan mounted warriors wears on their backs.

There are also a second large culture that is split in two groups consisting of the native tribes that have quickly moved over to agricultural/plantation societies in imitation of the success noticed from Scanderan colonists. In these societies does clans or tribes share their own land and farms under the ownership of the clan elders. These societies however have seen a lot of Scanderan influences appear amongst them during the short Scanderan reign and the local clothes have quickly become the norm even if there are still noticeable tribal touches to them like feathers and different patterns on the cotton.

Then is there also a second native group, traditional hunter gatherer tribes in the estern island that lives as their ancestors does and seems to consider Scanderan influences to be of little to no concerns as they still hunt in their loin clothes with their slings, spears and boomerangs.

History

The history of the realm of Tvaude is not a long one and the region has only been under federal control for two years or so when the federation brought the oil rich ocean around the two peninsulas. While the eastern peninsula remained peaceful and was easily incorporated into the federation and it's population assimilated amongst scanderan colonists so could the same not be said about the population on the western peninsula that rose up in a revolution against the Scanderan population but were quickly put down and the island was colonised and it's tribal population brought in under Scanderan control.

However with the quickly economical expansion and the oil profits started to roll in so have the populations grown closer to one another as jobs were offered to both tribals and Scanderans. As the violence in the west died down so have peace started to return.
