Hibari Nanatsuki (22 June 1988) is a Lucian-New Akibander-Zanarkian politician currently serving as Prime Minister of Zanarkand. She is the first Lucian-born Prime Minister of Zanarkand and is a daughter of Mariya Nanatsuki. She is also the youngest elected Prime Minister at the age of 29, having being mentored by her mother at such an early age. She is also the first New Akibander politician to be elected as the Prime Minister of Zanarkand.
Nanatsuki was born in Insomnia, during which her parents were on a trip until her mother went into labour and gave birth. She grew up in Auckland and was exposed to politics at a very early age. Nanatsuki returned to the United Kingdom to study in the University of St. Georgius. She graduated in 2009 with a degree in Bachelor of Political Science. She returned to New Akiba and witnessed her mother resigning from her position as Mayor of Auckland later that year. In 2011, She ran for Mayor of Auckland and won. She held the position until in 2013, when she resigned after her family moved to Zanarkand for reasons.
Upon arriving in Zanarkand, they settled in Goulburn and was able to easily adjust to their new life. In 2014, her mother pushed her to run as MP, eventually being elected as the Goulburn electorate of Towrang. In 2015, she was unanimously elected as Deputy Leader of Zanarkand FIRST, which was at coalition with the Liberal Party of Zanarkand and the National Party of Zanarkand. She became the Leader of Zanarkand FIRST after Harry Jones resigned, citing various reasons. Nanatsuki eventually became the 31st Leader of the Opposition as a result. Nanatsuki became popular and propelled the popularity of the Coalition Party.
During the 2017 federal elections, the Coalition won a total of 74 seats. After negotiations in the Coalition, the Zanarkand FIRST party led the coalition for the first time with Nanatsuki as Prime Minister. Nanatsuki's government focused on social development, reducing carbon emissions, and improving the quality of life. Personal Tax Cuts were implemented on the first month of Nanatsuki's term and Public Spending was increased and given priority.
In 2018, Nanatsuki created the Renewable Sources Bill, in which the use of carbon-emitting power plants were replaced with Wind farms, solar power plants, and wave power plants; a nod to New Akiba Prime Minister Tsujimura Seiji's Renewable Energy Bill. Transportation companies were turned into government-owned institutions, drastically reducing commuters costs. Spending was increased in the agricultural center since Nanatsuki also planned to create jobs, as well as livelihood for farmers. The move made Zanarkand as the leading exporter in Dairy products, overtaking New Akiba. She also partially publicized certain food, confectionery, and beverage companies such as Monde International, Rirac Foods Inc., Murrai Goulburn Ltd. Co. and Lega Cheese. The result was that prices for daily commodities were reduced, and made consumables easily attainable for low wage workers.
The following year saw the creation of the Aboriginal Organic Bill, which in effect granted equal freedom, rights, and statuses to all indigenous peoples of Zanarkand, which meant that it granted the total freedom that the aboriginal tribes have been asking for the past decades. In the same year, Nanatsuki implemented the Livelihood Assistance Bill, which created government-owned and some corporate businesses to grant the homeless, unemployed, and people in the lower class jobs, further decreasing the poverty rate. In addition, the homeless were given free housing in the form of several flats developed in former and abandoned government and residential sites. The bill would also extend to the aboriginals in order to allow them to integrate into society whilst maintaining their indigenous identity.
Nanatsuki's policy during the Oceanian Crisis was to aid New Akiba and prevent the expansion or any attempts of Ingelmia to invade or claim territory. In several but minor skirmishes in the Bellhals Free State, the ZANAC forces managed to maintain a stalemate and attempting to convince its adversaries that there was no point in attempting to expand into the rest of Oceania, promoting Ingelmia to declare ceasefire.
With her changes in social livelihood, leadership skills, and influence; She is considered to be on par with her New Akiba Prime Minister counterpart, Violette Evergreen. Nanatsuki's popularity remains high, as does with public support towards her.
