Race

Race report

The race began with Raymundo Ribeiro in a lead in front of the entire 20-car pack, passed halfway through the first lap by Arnaud Crozier. On lap 5, Alex Spalding took a lead passing both Ribeiro and Crozier, but that lead dropped back to third when the two passed Spalding in lap 7. On lap 21, Micael Dantas and Shakeel Ozer crashed in positions 10 and 11 respectively, and their cars were damaged beyond repair to continue the race. The crash delayed many of the drivers who were behind it at the time, and the race had to slow to allow crews to remove debris. For the remainder of the race, it was essentially a four-way head by Ribeiro, Crozier, Spalding, and Djurna. However, in lap 76, Rebeiro was maneuvered out of third position and down to eighth after being passed in the tunnel by Timothee Snowden, Albino Teixeira, and Chris Pernickel. At the close of lap 78, Djurna passed Crozier and narrowly crossed the line, winning the race by -1.2 seconds.
