Rebel Yell is a song by Lucian rock musician Mikey Rourke. Released in 1985, it was popular across Commonwealth countries, charting No. 1 in the United Kingdom, Zanarkand, New Akiba, Rubrum, Erebonian Empire, and Gallia-Bruhl. It soon became a popular soldier's song, playing across several radios broadcasting to Commonwealth Bases across Eordis. The song was eventually associated to Task Force 131, in which members often played it while on board helicopters or boats.

It was also the favourite of then-Colonel Kiriya Kitagawa, who noticed that the song had given the soldier's their groove in the field. The song continued to be played up to the present day and is a favourite track played by Radio Leeves, the official radio station of Leeves, where Fort Daidoji is located in.

Origin

=Popularity with Soldiers

In 1985, the song was first broadcasted to Lucian soldiers abroad, more specifically in Erebonia to LCAE personnel, who found the song to keep their spirits high. At that time, the Post-War of Lorican Aggression Crisis was taking place, which affected Lucis Commonwealth soldiers who could not go home. Eventually, the song was often played on missions and raids taking place throughout Zemuria. It was a favourite most specially to ERUAC personnel

In addition, the song's romantic references made Lucis Commonwealth soldiers relate to finding love in Erebonia.

A young Colonel Kiriya Kitagawa found to song to be one of his favourites. His unit, TF 131, found themselves often jiving or enjoying to the song while on board helicopters or while driving on the countryside. Kiriya was also able to relate to the romantic references found in the song when he found love during his time in Thors Military Academy as an instructor, and later chancellor.

Later on, the song was being played during Task Force 141 and 142's duties, whether it be in allied or over enemy lines.
