Robin Eliza Carol Lin (born Eliza Carol Lin; 29 August 2065 - 20 February 2171), known online as MouseyLyn, was a Fallen politician, poet, internet personality, and pornographic actor who served as the 3rd president of Heavenfall from 2082 to 2090. Lin assumed the presidency after the death of Harvey Guinto. They [1] were the youngest person to ever become president of Heavenfall. After the presidency, they entered the Heavenfall House of Assembly, serving as chancellor twice, from 2105 to 2115, and again from 2123 to 2128. After resigning from the chancellorship, they were elected by the Assembly to be speaker, serving from 2128 to 2153. Lin's 15‑year tenure as chancellor and 25‑year tenure as speaker are the longest in Heavenfall history. Initially a proponent of the Liberation Movement, Lin later founded the populist centre-left Labor Party.
Early life and career
Lin was born in Letterkenny, Ireland, on 29 August 2065. Their mother, Carol Zhao, was an illustrator, and their father, Lin Bolin, was a Taiwanese-born theoretical physicist. Lin had an older brother, Thomas, a younger brother, Eamon, and a younger sister, Magnolia.
In 2077, the Lin family relocated to Heavenfall due to the ongoing Ireland Crisis. Lin attended Heavenfall High School, achieving high grades in class.
On 14 March 2077, Lin created the YouTube and Fleuride channels MouseyLyn. They began streaming video game content two days later, uploading the VODs to YouTube. They quickly grew in popularity, especially among Chinese-Fallen children and teens.
Vice Presidency
2080 campaign
On 10 August 2080, two weeks before the election, Harvey Guinto announced that he chose Lin to be his running mate. The choice was a shock and became immediately controversial. Questions about Lin's age, lack of experience, and general outspokenness plagued the Guinto campaign. The left-wing aspects of the Liberation Movement were upset that none of their experienced choices were chosen, while right-wing aspects were upset about Lin's positions regarding immigrant freedoms, abortion, wealth inequality, and social welfare.
On the campaign trail, Lin proved themself invaluable. According to reports at the time, whenever Lin was on stage at a rally, the crowd's enthusiasm grew tenfold. In 2082, Guinto said to reporters, "Robin is young, relatable, and energetic. They bring a frenzy to our country's young politics in a way I'm too old and boring for. During the election, Robin drew voters in for the same reason I was drawn in when I chose them to be my running mate: their magnetic personality."
The Guinto-Lin ticket won the August election, winning 71.4% of the popular vote. They were sworn in on 1 October 2080, the first transfer of power from one president to another in Heavenfall history. Outgoing vice president Pak Daesung handed Lin a pair of sunglasses during the inauguration ceremony. Lin kept the sunglasses in regular use for the rest of their life.
Tenure
As vice president, Lin's advice went largely ignored by the Guinto administration. However, during the Independent Extradition Debate, the cabinet was evenly divided between pro and anti independent Extradition Commission. Lin was the deciding voice in favor of the independent commission, which made Guinto decide to publicly declare support for a Congressional bill establishing an indepent commission.
Presidency
In the early hours of 7 July 2082, President Guinto suddenly died of a heart attack while visiting his family home in Santa Clarita, California. Vice President Lin and then-girlfriend Samiha Karim were still asleep and had to be woken up to receive the news.

Speakership (2128-2153)
On 4 December 2152, three months following the death of their vice president and former fiancée Samiha Karim, Lin announced their intention to retire as speaker and assemblymember at the end of the Congressional term. In a statement to the Assembly, Lin cited their age and the "air of change" in the nation as the reasons for their retirement. Following the assassination of president Lynnestrom Tran, several assemblymembers called for Lin to postpone their retirement to maintain stability. Despite this, Lin signalled their continued intent to retire, and, on 1 April 2153, officially resigned the speakership. As the senior member of the Assembly, Lin presided over the election of their successor, Madeline Tiffany.
Lin served as speaker for 25 years, the longest tenure in Heavenfall history.
Retirement
Lord Justice
On 1 April 2153, the same day Lin stepped down from the speakership, the government of Highsea appointed Lin to the Constitutional Court to succeed Italo DiMarzio, who died 3 weeks earlier at the age of 79. Lin, then aged 87, was the oldest appointed Lord Justice in history.
Lin refused to assume the seat for many years. However, Lin finally assumed their seat in 2160 to hear Free City of Heavenfall v. Vad Dacula. After presiding over arguments and delivering the unanimous opinion of the Court, Lin intermittently attended hearings.
Great Conference
Lin attended the 6-month long Great Conference of the People of Heavenfall, which took place in Angel's Dome. Debates, conversations, decisions made, and the structure of the conference itself remain secret.
Death and Funeral
Lin died in their sleep on 20 February 2171, just one month after their oldest child, Susanna Lin, died.
Personal Life
Lin identified as nonbinary, using they/them and she/her pronouns.
