Kamui or also known by his real name Yūto Kogami (Japanese:　高上勇斗) is the first child of Mugen.

Design

Kamui is a young Oriental man in his twenties, possessing short, straight black hair. He exudes strength and power, standing out as the most formidable member of his team.

His attire includes a sleek black trench coat that falls to his knee, adding an air of mystery and sophistication. Underneath the coat, Kamui sports a crisp white shirt that accentuates his strong physique. Completing his ensemble are black trousers that fit him perfectly, enhancing his agility and movement.

To maintain his versatility in combat, Kamui prefers to keep his appearance minimalistic yet impactful. He forgoes excessive accessories, instead focusing on the practicality of his attire. His outfit allows him to move swiftly and assert his dominance on the battlefield.

When not in hero mode, Kamui opts for a more casual style. He wears a sleeveless white top paired with a stylish jacket in white, complementing his overall look. He prefers comfortable brown sweatpants for easy mobility. During the summer months, Kamui ditches the jacket to stay cool and relaxed.

Kamui is a character that cares deeply for his family and possesses a strong thirst for power, he also carries an air of confidence and self-assuredness.

His deep loyalty to his family makes him a dependable person for the guild. He rarely shows his hesitant whenever he carries orders from his father Mugen, his mother, or his siblings.

The extreme loyal personality of his makes him a person with strong arrogance, knowing that he, and his family possesses exceptional abilities. He is aware of his own strength and often carries himself with a sense of superiority. This confidence sometimes border on overconfidence, as he believes his power sets him apart from others.

Kamui's arrogance manifests in his interactions with people outside of the clan and the guild, occasionally displaying a dismissive or condescending attitude towards those he considers less capable. He may underestimate opponents or disregard their abilities, assuming that his own power gives him the upper hand in any situation.

History

Background

Kamui was born on August 13, 2033 in Chiba. He was the first child of Ken Kogami and Mio Kobayashi. Kamui was gifted from the moment of his birth—the power of shadow. This extraordinary ability allowed him to manipulate darkness and blend seamlessly into the shadows.

He attended primary education in public schools near Funabashi, Chiba. However, as he grew older, his power became unstable and this became a concern for his own family. Ken Kogami, his father, immediately enrolled him into Ichinose School for his secondary education. A move that'd also be followed by her sister a few years in the future.

Gates of Hell

Gates of Hell alows Kamui to physically manifest shadows as tangible figures of his imagination, effectively summoning them into existence. These shadow entities become an army under his command, enabling Kamui to engage and combat a large group of enemies with formidable prowess.

With the Gates of Hell, Kamui gains the advantage of overwhelming numbers, despite being alone. Each shadow figure is an extension of his will, attacking enemies with precision and coordination. They move swiftly and strike relentlessly, creating a chaotic and intimidating battlefield. Kamui himself becomes the orchestrator of this shadow army, controlling their actions and unleashing devastating attacks upon his foes.

This ultimate move allows Kamui to overcome any attempts at blocking or evading his attacks. The summoned shadows move effortlessly through the air, striking from unexpected angles and overwhelming their targets. The enemies find themselves surrounded and outnumbered, unable to escape the relentless onslaught.

While Kamui's shadows possess the ability to regenerate each time they are defeated, their upkeep demands a substantial amount of Qi. Maintaining the Gates of Hell and commanding his shadow army consumes Kamui's Qi at an accelerated rate.

Enhanced Physique

Kamui has an enhanced mental and physical condition, incredible judgement, knowledge, creativity, imagination and other cognitive and brain-related abilities as well as being able to lift weights and output strength even the strongest weightlifters couldn’t hope to achieve, moving at speeds similar to that of cars to even subsonic speeds, being immune to nigh-fatal damage and harm and performing at peak performance without tiring for long periods. He also has a regenerative healing factor that is 10 times faster than average human.

Kamui has been shown to be capable of speaking English, Japanese, Korean, Hurite and Chinese.

Weaknesses

Kamui has relavitvely small Qì reserves, limiting him in his use of the "Gates of Hell".

Creation and Conception

The first idea for Kamui came to Infinity after reading a popular Korean web-novel titled Solo Leveling. Initially, he was planned to be a sword expert, but as he already reserved that position to another character, he decided to make Kamui based on "Sung Jin-Woo", the main character of the said web-novel.
