Isolde el-Hashem is the sitting Eorl of Nortymba, the geographically largest canton of Brytene. She was elected in 2015 following the assassination of Uhtred of Deepdale, and is the most junior member of the Witenagmot. She is a member of the Socialist-Nationalist Party.

Early Life

el-Hashem was born on the 21st December 1981, to David and Annabelle el-Hashem, and is a third-generation descendant of Arabic immigrants to Brytene. Her parents own a successful food delivery chain, Turkic Tastes, which serves kebab, pizza, and traditional levantine cuisine. She studied Economics at Eoferwic University, before taking up a position with Goldwing Finance.

Political career

Leaving the finance industry in 2011, she ran as Thegn for the Eoferwic Outer Riding and was elected by a narrow margin. As a member of the Socialist-National party, she enjoyed a strong voter support amongst the military population in the area, and pushed for an increase in police funding.

In 2015, she accepted a nomination for the position of Eorl of Nortymba. As a popular face of the SocNat party, and in the wake of the al-Qaria terror campaign and the murder of Uhtred of Deepdale, she enjoyed widespread support and was confirmed in her new post on the 4th August.

Policies

el-Hashem is a prominent member of the Socialist National Party, and is vocally in favour of increased government spending, higher taxes, and stronger police powers.

She has also stated that she believes Brytene "should not be afraid to stand up for Brytisc values on the international stage", and supports an increased military defense budget.

Personal life

el-Hashem is married to Jens Haverbrooke, an analyst with SpearCorp Solutions.
