Tanner Laurence Kitagawa (23 June 2027) is a Lucian soldier and officer currently serving in the Lucis Army as part of Task Force 141 under Task Force 141#Detachment K. He is the son of Yamato Kitagawa and Caroline Bessler.
Unlike his cousins, Tanner was raised with a passion for hunting. He was strictly raised by his parents as during that time, the Chalcedonic War was taking place. Despite his young age, he proved himself to be a superior tactician compared to his peers because of his father's tutelage, who had both experience in the Lucis and Imperial Army. With such aggressiveness and strength for his body, he was notoriously nicknamed as the White Terror and was a wanted man throughout the Seleucid Empire.
