The Veriska Taratus, headquarters of the Aquitaynian Ministry of Defense.

The Aquitaynian Ministry of Defense (MoD) has a complex organizational structure. It includes the Army, Navy, Air Force, Royal Marines, the Foreign Legion, and the Unified Combatant Commands, Aquitaynian elements of multinational commands (MNF-IF), as well as non-combat agencies such as the Ministry of Defense Intelligence and the Ministry of National Security. The MoD's annual budget in 2015 was NSD$165.4 billion. This figure does not include additional tens of billions more in supplemental expenditures allotted by the Parliament throughout the year, particularly for the war in Insula Fera.

Civilian control over matters other than operations is exercised through four service departments: the Department of the Army, the Department of the Navy, the Commandant of the Royal Marines, and the Department of the Air Force. The Aquitaynian Foreign Legion is a subsidiary of the Aquitaynian Army and is represented thus. Each department is lead by a secretary, who is appointed by the Prime Minister and approved by the King of Aquitayne.

The Veriska Taratus is the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, and is protected by uniformed military personnel at all times.
