Mission Cobalt (24 March - 26 March 1943) was an amphibious operation undertaken by elements of the Special Parachute Service I, supported by the Archadian Resistance to neutralise and render the Verini Heavy Water Plant unusable for the Imperials. The raid on the water plant is considered to be one of the most significant Commando raids during the Sixth Zacaya War, as it further reduced the chances of development for the Imperials Plan AB, the plan to create an Atomic Bomb and turn the tide in the Imperials favour.
Following Operation Hydercide, which resulted in the destruction of the Tartaglia Heavy Water Plant, the Imperials were forced to convert several hydroelectric water plants in order to produce Heavy water. The Verini Water Plant was to be among the 25 water plants to be converted to such. Its destruction marked the beginning of a succeeding commando raids on several heavy water plants from 1943 to 1945.
