Erik Smits (19 August 1922) is a retired Basel-Ebelian officer who served during the Second Europan War and in the War of Lorican Aggression.
Erik is an engineering graduate from the University of Cape Albona prior to his enlistment. As a result, he became an expert in handling explosives and other military engineering technologies. When he joined the Special Air Service after a recommendation by his commanding officer, he was assigned to Torch Company and became the company's explosives specialist. He is also knowledgeable in enemy weapons and equipment, being able to know the weakness of every weapon laid before him.
Erik married fellow company member Estelle Minnaar. He is the grandfather of ILESOC operative Zephyr Smits.
