Sydvinland is one of the larger federal realms and it can rival most of the Scanderan realms in size easily. With a highly active chronically that takes great part of the local government of the realm as advisers and parts of the Jarl's court. Economically is the realm a rich one that exports fruits, tea, tobacco, cotton, sugar, cacao, chocolate and other similar items amongst with large amounts of lumber, beef, gold, iron and coal.

Geography

The geography of Sydvinland is very varied with farms and plantations covering most of the coastal regions with large fields that once were thick rainforests. Further inlands does however the mighty forest dominate the land and thick rainforests spreads out over most of the central and eastern inland, you can however also found savannah and even desert zones in the realm. However in the west so is there gyllenbergen which is named after the large amounts of gold that can be found there.

This mountain chain is not only the home of the highest point in the realm, Görans berg which raises to the height of 3,842 meters above sea levels, but it also marks the border between the old united jarlhoods and the Ikaran empire.

Climate

The climate of sydvinland is often defined as tropical with mountainous regions which means that the temperatures varies greatly from 3 - 25 degrees as minimum and between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius as the maximum temperatures in the realm. Rainfall is also very varied and in the same month does parts of the realm only receive 1.5 mm of rainfall while other parts of the realm receives as much as 209 mm of rain in the same month.

Flora and fauna

Sydvinland has a rich biodiversity and it's jungles are the home of as many as 1200 species of birds as parrots, hummingbirds, Pigeons and puffbirds amongst many more. It is also the home of 456 species of mammals and one can find manatees, bears, monkeys, sloths, rabbits and much much more. It is also home to numerous species of reptilians and insects and one can find several species of very poisonous frogs and snakes there and several native tribes were known to be able to counter Imerian armour in the invasions by using thin poisonous darts that went around the armour entirely.

One can also find more than hundred thousands species of plants of various kinds in the realm varying from tall trees, small and colourful flowers and the realm is well known for it's Orchid and fruits that is exported to the rest of the federation.

Culture

Culturally so is the realm divided between native tribal cultures in the jungles while the more civilised areas around the mountains and the coastal regions and the farming centres are almost entirely Scanderan and the holy chronicles is worshipped almost fanatically by the subjects living in these realms. However just as most federal realms so are Sydvinland also the home of numerous concert halls, duelling and jousting arenas, opera houses and taverns that gives the cities a lively and active night life.

However where the Sydvinlänska culture differ from the Scanderan ones is the large festivals that is regularly arranged to celebrate certain holy events in the chronicles where people dance in outlandish consumes and priests and other holy men starts to rave as fanatics and flaggelants and prophets foreseeing the endtimes are common during these festivals.

While it is unknown from when so have Sydvinland been populated by various tribal societies for millennia and they even developed large and powerful states in their own right at 1000bc, especially the Ikaran civilisation were a large and powerful one when the Scanderans first arrived.

However so were the new land discovered in 1486 which resulted in large migrations from both Imeriata-Vedian but also Erathia as people tried to flee from the 200 years war that ravished Scandera proper but they were also followed by raiders and invaders from jarnarna that tried to establish their own lands on the continent. This early migration period resulted in large fortresses and smaller cities being established around what today is nya landborg where they created "Di förenta jarladömena" or "the united jarlhoods" that were ruled by the council of Jarls to combat native threats and to establish a functioning society.

However in 1527 did a fleet with the Stjärnkhrone eagle and colours on it's sails arrive bearing news of the homefront officially confirming the rumours that the war was over and that the Sjtärnkhrone family now firmly ruled the Scanderan continent and demanded that the united jarlhoods should swear fealty to their lawful high king. The council of Jarls accepted the demand and opened the way for more Scanderans arriving in large numbers as well as fresh waves of so called "Eröfringsmän" from the wars back home that quickly spread over the continent making native people either be officially made subjects or forcing them to flee westwards as the armoured pikemen and shield bearers were easily able to push native armies aside with the aid of Imerian cavalry, crossbows, guns and cannons.

With tension rising between the native empire and the growing Scanderan colonial one so did clashes become more and more common amongst the common border as Scanderans funded both tribes invading the Ikaran empire and the whole conflict escalated until the Scanderans officially declared war and lead the naval invasion of the Ikaran empire's capital and renamed it Slutsborg which sparked The scanderan-Ikaran war which ended with most of the empire in ruins and the Ikarans replaced by native tribes loyal to the Imerian high king.

With the later invasion of Blaland were many Sydvinländare recruited as federal guardsmen and were used regularly to combat native tribes over there while natives from Blaland was sent to fight against native Sydvinländska tribes when they revolted and when Queen Erika's war rolled around were the realm supportive of the high queen.
