Vovilveante XCT is a highly successful football club in Hiblund. It currently has 14 Shodiax (Piruen Iede) victories, which is more than any other club in the entire Shodiax League. They also have 4 ACLC Championships and 2 ACLC Runner-ups. The club was originally formed as a team in the Xaire Iede in 1948 during the Sciedfelt Stretch, with the name Vovilveante Sprevin. They were transferred to the Shodiax League system in 1962, as the Xaire was losing hope of continuing, and they switched names to Vovilveante XCT.[1]

Founding

Unlike some other teams that were originally in the Xaire Iede, this team was not in a minor Harletical Iede level. The Xaire was composed of 60 teams with three levels, thought of as relatively small. Vovilveante Sprevin was founded in March 1948, fully funded via the Xaire itself. The executives of the team were given the chance to recruit any unemployed player in Hiblund, which they succeeded immensely in. Due to the unknown potential of the 35 completely new clubs, the Xaire hosted a Preseason in spring of 1949, where each club would play 15 random teams to interpret which level they would start in. Vovilveante Sprevin was finished with a record of 9-4-2, which was good enough to put them into the highest level. They would start their first season later that year.

Spending in Xaire

Vovilveante Sprevin took its future seriously, reaching out to young potential rather than mid-career stars. The club was ready to play and impress all of the other clubs funded by the Xaire, trying to push their potential to the limit. They began their spell in the first possible year and ended it in the last possible year, meanwhile winning five titles. Needless to say, to believe that they succeeded in their goal would be a heavy understatement. Their first three seasons were pretty rough, placing mid-table each year, however, things started to pick up after taking a new head coach/owner[2], Fielvren Thaer. Their hot streak lasted until the league's slightly expected folding.

Transfer to Shodiax

Of all the leagues that were crumbling under the popularity of the Shodiax League, the Xaire Iede was by far the most successful. There was an unspoken agreement that the Xaire Iede would soon fold and leave all its clubs stranded. In the offseason of 1962, the Shodiax League took notice of their decline in sales and popularity, and out of pity, offered to take a few of their clubs into their league, and in exchange, pay off a decade's worth of expected sales.[3] The Xaire knew that if they did not accept this offer, they would not be able to make the profit that they would if they agreed to the deal. So, with a defeating sigh, the Xaire agreed to this offer and sent the 10 best teams from their previous season to the Shodiax League, this including Vovilveante Sprevin. Vovilveante Sprevin was given no other choice but to accept and change their name to Vovilveante XCT, the abbreviation at the end being added to all clubs a part of this transfer. The club would start in the very next Shodiax season, in the system's newly-founded sixth level.

Spending in Shodiax

Early Adjustments

Vovilveante XCT certainly had mixed feelings about the transfer, as it brought new opportunities, but also lead to a lot of work was needed in order to promote into the Piruen, as it was extremely difficult to adjust to the new level of competition. Along with this, there was a lot of change referring to name, jerseys, and ground at the time, suggesting the attitude of an identity crisis. The club comfortably moved through the bottom two levels in a matter of three seasons, facing region-wide teams in contrast to other clubs based in Vovilveante. They took another four seasons to promote into the third level.

Early Years under Hasken

The year after Vovilveante XCT's initial promotion to the third level, Thaer decided to step down from the owner and head coach position. Although he was sad to announce that he would not lead his beloved team to the main Shodiax Leagues, he handed the position who he thought would put a new and positive twist to how the club was run. Drev Hasken was selected as the new head coach from this point onwards, and unlike Thaer, was very young when starting the position.

It didn't take very long for the club to get fully introduced and used to Hasken's plans for the team. After losing in the promotion playoff finals three times in a row, Vovilveante XCT finally advanced into the second level, into the Vaitrel, in the 1976 offseason. After the advancing to the Vaitrel, it took another few years in order to complete their objective: to advance into the Piruen Iede.[4] Now they took it to their priority list to go beyond their goal and win a title.

Piruen Years

Their first three years in the Piruen were mid-tier and generic, with very little attention being thrown upon them. However, their fourth year contained a top 6 finish, which had certainly caught the league's eye as it was above Trinalxii XCT's finish, the other hot former Xaire club, by two spots. The club would not let off the momentum and would finish in the qualifications spots in '86 and '87, ascending in rank as well. In '88, Vovilveante XCT would win their first Piruen title, and well-deserved too. During this time period, the club focused on their defense, but kept an almost equal priority with attacking, even though they didn't have a lot to work with.

VOX proved its reputation as a dominant club, as it easily stayed within the qualification zone without leaving for the next 9 seasons, along with winning in '93 and '96. The club was put into great hands with Hasken, and the offensive positions had improved with time, even though some of their key defenders had retired or been traded.

The 1998 season marked a stiff decline in development, as they were knocked out of the qualification zone and in '99 were put all the way back to 12th place. This was due to the lack of defense, and offensive star Filderheit retired the year before the drop. This is where many clubs would ditch their coach/owner and move on with fresh staff, but VOX was determined to keep their beloved head coach, as ties between players in staff were highly relevant in this club. From 2000 to 2002 the club had seen improvement, finishing 6th in '02.

In 2003, VOX had once more reached the qualification zone thanks to an outstanding forward talent in Lienerlach. The all-time great defender of Urvake Lebbt would make his rookie debut in '06, serving a crucial role. The club would then remain unpredictable, although in the top 6, until the end of 2011, along with wins in '05 and '09.

Golden Age

Although VOX has always been a top-tier club since some of their first appearances in the Piruen, there is one clear moment in its history where the club was practically unbeatable. The seasons of '11 and '12 are included with the golden age, even though they were before they claimed a championship in this era, as they are demarkations of rapid improvement and signs of stability with the club. The top-level forward prospect of Adriun Harrison was signed in the '11 season. In the same season, the first class midfielder Ɣalnuez reached his prime, scoring 20 goals despite the disadvantage in his position.

2013 was an accomplished year for VOX, as its newly established stability had finally amounted to something, a Shodiax Title. Not much had been changed in the roster other than a few substitutes, but uniformity had finally caught a presence in the club. The '14 season brought in the midfielder prospect Jaiien Jaitleii, as a sort of replacement for the now aging Ɣalnuez. Jaitleii specialized in assisting touches, of which he had 12 in his very first season. A second rookie was added to the roster this season, as the goalkeeper Xavrien Citzarlex took his debut. The young keeper still had work to improve on, but his first season still went well anyways. The club now had its very first back-to-back titles in franchise history, and things were looking bright for the evergoing club.

The next two years went predictably, with no sign at all of slowing down. Jaitleii and Citzarlex had improved where they could, Harrison was in his prime with Lebbt who had prolonged his prime for five years now, Ɣalnuez was still going strong, and Lienerlach was experiencing the end of his career, but still put up more than expected stats. In response, VOX claimed two more titles with ease. All arrows were pointing forward for the club, which led them into a season they hoped would bring the organization its 10th Shodiax Title.

2017, many fans believe, is the greatest season any club has ever had, without losing a single match throughout all competitions. It is true that the HFZ Kurn was cancelled due to the Vaitrel Iede Protests, but it's safe to say that they probably would have won that competition too. Jaitleii and Citzarlex were at their absolute prime without holding back an ounce of energy, Harrison continued being one of the best goalscorers the sport has ever seen, and Lienerlach enjoyed his final season in the sport. All other starters unmentioned were also appreciated and necessary in the club's success, as not a single one of them had a rating below 8.0. This season was the absolute definition of the Golden Age, as everything they did turned out for the better, and in incredible fashion.

2018 was an incredibly disappointing season for VOX, especially after their '17 campaign. For starters, Lebbt was traded to SC Ɣuez for a huge sum of money. Although the pay was great, that did not distract from the fact that they had lost their best defender. Ɣalnuez was still in buisness, but had declared that this would be his final year, just as Lienerlach had the previous season. The absolute worst part of it all was Citzarlex being injured unrelated to the sport inbetween Matchdays 10 and 11, so horribly that he would not recover ever again and was forced to retire. VOX would snap its 5-year title streak with a defeated 2nd, right behind their rivals, Antres FC.

The '19, '20, and '21 campaigns would not carry the same shock that the '18 season had, and the club won titles all these times. It turns out, even though all these events happened to break their momentum in 2018, the club was still incredible as they still had Harrison and Jaitleii, as well as other not so notable yet reliable players in the defense. Along with what they still had, goalkeeper Alastair Parkin was picked up in 2017 and had subbed in for Citzarlex after his incident. He was not an extremely notable prospect, but learning with Citzarlex for one and a half season had certainly helped his game, as he was, in his prime, very close to Citzarlex's talent level. Adjustments to the roster have been made to keep this club at full potential since the 2018 season, and has obviously served them well.

Decline

The recent '22 campain was the beginning of the end for the Golden Ages, as VOX took second place behind SV Mai. Main reasons for the decline was because of the retirement of defensive players Hildervel and Piari, along with minor changes to weaken the squad. If major changes are not made soon, we will see VOX fall through the standings a second time.

Other Competitions

Over the course of its existence, Vovilveante XCT has never refrained from accepting extra competitions outside their Shodiax season. Unlike some other clubs, VOX will take all of these matches seriously and won't hold back for the sake of the regular season.

Anterian Champion's League Cup

The ACLC is an international cup for clubs, of which the Shodiax Piruen Iede typically contains 4 qualification spots. Vovilveante XCT has qualified 30 times in its history, its first appearance being in 1986. After qualifying many times but with little success, VOX finally made its first championship appearance in 2005, and won. After this win, VOX has had a more positive look on the ACLC, and during its golden ages especially, took a respected platform in the competition and has accumulated 4 championship victories and 3 runner-ups, including a runner-up to Spartak Pyor in the most recent tournament in 2021. VOX has qualified for the ACLC 12 consecutive seasons, with this streak still ongoing today.

Assilic Ciumervaii

The Assilic Ciumervaii is a minor tournament between Hiblund and its former territory Frarstizk. The qualification for this tournament has the same amount of spots as the ACLC with 4, but the only real accomplishment is if you make the finals, where the two nation's top clubs meet. VOX has made the International Final 12 times, winning 8 of them. Their first International Final appearance was in 1992, and despite not winning the Piruen that year, won the whole thing over Emel Smatt 04. VOX has never been to appreciative of the competition, but still takes it seriously as it's in the offseason and there's nothing else to focus on. Of the 4 runner-ups its had, 3 of them are lost to the powerhouse franchise club Sporting Maegnitersburg, and the Assilic record between the two is even at 3-3.

HFZ Kurn

The HFZ Kurn is the dometic tournament for the Shodiax League System and the Hiblundiiun Football Association, with every club in the Piruen and Vaitrel automatically qualifying, and the other slots being on the complex side to establish. Unlike the other competitions, Vovilveante XCT has a low respect for the tournament, as it is put together "sloppily" along with other aspect being simply "unorganized". Despite this, the club has managed to acquire 5 titles in its franchise, and it would have been much more if the Vaitrel Iede Protests had not stopped the tournament from 2014-2019, which is a large portion of the golden ages. This had upset them, and although VOX has not put full effort into the competition, they are still one of the best clubs in the competition.

Supportors

VOX was never a fan favorite by almost anyone until they made their first appearance in the Piruen, where they were finally given respect. A large part of the respect factor was because of their continuous improvement and their consistency despite being a more heavily taxed[6] club in the extremely large city of Vovilveante. Only two other clubs in the city were in the Piruen at the time, which still kept the fan count low, but nevertheless introduced itself once it promoted.

It did not take very long until VOX gained higher respect and fans, as the very next year after their promotion, Vovilveante II had relegated to the Vaitrel, leaving VOX and SV Vovilveante the only clubs from the megacity in the top flight. Only two seasons after Vovilveante II's absence, VOX finished in the top 4 and qualified to both the ACLC and the Assilic Ciumervaii, which skyrocketed both expectations and fan count, and the latter has been at a stable amount ever since. Currently Vovilveante XCT has the highest fanbase in Hiblund across all sports, and is among the highest in the world as well.
