The Commission On The December 2022 Capital Bombing, also known as the 12/22 Commission, was a commission of the Imperial Security Council of the Empire Of Makko Oko. The commission was formed on March 23rd, 2023, after public calls from NSS Director John Rexroad were made for the investigation.

Investigation

The investigation was made up of subpoenas to witnesses and officials, in addition to internal deliberations and self-investigation. The members of the Commission were:

  • NSS Director John Rexroad
  • Minister Of Defense Jake Wiseman
  • 2 Military Weapons Experts
  • 1 ISOC Employee

The Chair of the Commission, Minister Of Internal Security Miguel Kellison, thought that low-level officials would help thrwart bias from the higher-level officials and to keep the commission on track. There was damaging and eerie testimony provided to the government by former Minister Of Defense Radim Kucera, who told that "security is lacking, controls are lacking. The one thing we don't lack are targets, targets for the terrorists."

Outcome

The Commission officially published the report on April 29th, 2023, that detailed the government's faults before, during and after the event. The Commission officially recommended regulations be imposed upon the industry and products used. NSS Director John Rexroad was fired after the report was released, with the Ministry Of Internal Security citing "multiple failures that couldn't be overlooked under his tenure".
