Idris W. Oryx (January 1st, 1972) is a Seran military officer in the United States of Sera Royal Army who rose to the rank of Marshal; the highest possible rank achievable in the Seran Royal Army.

Born in Takhar, Yobu, Oryx was raised as a devout Acolyte by his casteless parents. Although he grew up poor on the outskirts of Takhar, Oryx's parents supported their child by providing everything they could within their means to ensure his sucess. Oryx's mother required him to attend evening classes while also pushing him to strengthen his faith despite the workload required. This would instill a deep sense of discipline and duty in the young man which spurred him to begin taking party in Officer Readiness Programs (ORPs) in school that would prepare him to become a career military officer. The support of his parents and deep-rooted discipline helped ensure that Oryx would successfully pass Sera's "Crucible" test and therefore earn his caste. He would be the first member of his family to do so since his great grandmother in 1920. Oryx would later complete these programs and graduate from Takhar Military Academy with honors. He then enlisted into the Seran Royal Army as a second lieutenant and received his first command.

Today Oryx serves the Department of War as the Marshal of the Seran Royal Army and as the Chief of the Board of Defense Ministers. He was instrumental in planning the invasion of Sparta in the middle of 2021 and the Hisrea War shortly thereafter.
