Department of Anomalous Affairs or commonly called the DAA (Japanese: 異常事象省, Ijō Jishō Shō) is a government ministry in Orientia tasked to handle all interdimensional-related occurences, including, but not limited to enchanted places and artifacts. The DAA itself has two agencies underneath it; the Bureau of Anomaly Investigation or 異常現象調査局 (Japanese: Ijō Jishō Chōsa Kyoku), and the National Institute of Anomaly Research or 国立異常研究所 (Japanese: Kokuritsu Ijō Kenkyūjo). While the BAI uses legal approach, NIAR uses academic approach to these matters; including archiving historical records of liminalities from pre-Union governments.
