Valegoria (Valdavian: [ˈva.le̯gore̯a], Ostro-Ludzic: [ˈva.lɛgoria]; Rheigner: Sargestatt, also Walgar; Latin: Serra Gothica), formally the Valegoria Autonomous Urban Zone (Ostro-Ludzic: Autonómna Mestskă Zona Valegorska, Valdavian: Zona Autonomă Valegoria, Rheigner: Freizona Sargestatt), is a metropolis in the Prime Republic of Ostrozava, and its largest city with a population of 5,534,900. The city stands on the Karmin Fork, the confluence of the Karmin and Balarog Rivers and namesake of the region of Transkarminia. Known until the High Middle Ages by its ancient name of Saragetra (Rheigner: Sargestatt), the city has variously served as the capital of Tervingia and Valdavia-Rheigen and has been one of the most important centers of Kupalnitsan and broader Belisarian civilization since antiquity, with a history spanning millennia.

Initially a small settlement of the Brustrii, relatives of the Valenii of the Upper Ardullian mountains, the area of the two rivers and its cluster of settlements came under the control of the Goths around 500 BCE, with the Valenii recording their explusion from the Balarog river area 'in a time before the founding of the Great City', according to Latin proto-historian Junovius. By 350 BCE, the Goths had fully established themselves in the valley and began stone constructions and consolidation of several nearby villages. This new urbanization would lead to the establishment of Saragretra, which would serve as the head of Tervingian political apparatus for the next five centuries.

Valegoria is considered to be the most diverse city in Ostrozava. No major ethnic group holds majority; Valdavians, Ostrozavans, and Rheigners, the three co-nationalities of the Prime Republic continue to be the largest demographics, although significant populations of Dzhuvens, Kupalnitsan Jews, and others continue to exist. Valegoria is a hub of cultural events, major supply lines, and governmental administrative apparatus; the Ostrozavan Civil Service is headquartered at the Karmin Fork Annex. The city's economy relies primarily on tourism, although services and information-technology are rapidly growing sectors. Extending beyond city limits, the Autonomous Urban Zone includes the entirety of the Valley (Valdavian:Valea) metropolitan area.
