Arthur XII (Arthur Yohnnes Siorious Raibeart Heranal; b. 2 July 1957) is the King of Gelonia. He ascended to the throne on 19 September 2005 after the death of his father, King Robert IV.
Arthur was born in Oxonia as the eldest child of King Robert IV and TBD. He became heir apparent upon his father's ascension, and later Duke of Oxonia upon his marriage. He attended primary and secondary schools in Gelonia, later serving in the Gelonian Navy after attending Imperial University, Saint-Nazaire, in Vannois. Arthur has married twice, first in 1982 to commoner Loeiza Taneta, which ended in divorce; and to Princess Maira of Gaemar in 1990. From his marriage to Taneta, he had one child Prince Arthur, Duke of Oxonia, who died in 2009. He has four daughters from his marriage to Maira of Gaemar: Lena, Alaina, Genovefa, and Eva.
Family and early life
Arthur was born on 2 July 1957, during the reign of his grandfather King Alan V at Kastell Rouei, in Oxonia, Gelonia. He is the eldest child of Prince Robert, Duke of Oxonia (later King Arthur IV) and TBD. He was baptized into the Church of Gelonia by the local Bishop of Oxonia at St Tugdualus in August 1957. He was primarily raised at Palez d'Rouanti, which has been the seat of House of Rouanti since the family regained the Gelonian Royal titles in the 15th century. His family can trace their ancestry back to before the first Latin conquest in the 4th century AD, and to Syagrius Rouan, the first, non-legendary king of a untied Gelonia.

Marriages
Marriage to Loeiza Taneta
Arthur first married in 1982 to commoner Loeiza Taneta. He first met Taneta in 1980 while attending a charity event for the Oxonia Foundation in Meud. According to courtiers, Arthur was quickly taken with Taneta, and they eventually married in 1982. The marriage was cause of controversy among the nobility and leadership of the Church of Gelonia due to Taneta's station as a commoner. Taneta gave birth to their only child, Arthur, on 17 June 1983. The birth of Prince Arthur initiated concerns of his eventual succession due to the morganatic marriage between Arthur and Taneta. The marriage quickly deteriorated, and by August 1984, rumors surfaced that King Robert IV was attempting to secure a divorce and have Arthur search for a new wife.
In early 1987, the Royal Household announced that Arthur and Taneta were divorcing, making Arthur the first member of the Royal Family to be part of a divorce.
