In 2001 he was named CEO of Verrucosus Holdings.
Early Life and Family
Perusia was born on 19 September 1954 to Consul Felix Verrucosus and Lady Damiane Vitruvia, at Villa d'Iulia Concordia, the newly purchased family estate, in Utica. He has one older half-brother, Pelagius who is a illegitimate child of his father, and a younger brother Florentine and younger sister, Zoe. Verrucosus has little in the way of notable ancestors on his father's side, with his grandfather Pelagius working as a farmer until his own death in 1979. His maternal grandfather is Thomas Vitruvius, Marchis of Antium, along with other prominent Latin noble families.
Education
Perusia attended Lyceum Sanctus Michaelis for both primary school and secondary school. He participated as a member of the schools debate team during secondary school, earning a national runners-up award in 1976 and 1977, eventually winning the national youth championship in 1978. He attended Alba School of Economics and Business where he studied economics. During his time at Alba, he was a member of the university's Conservative Party student chapter and was quickly elevated to a leadership role, which proved to be a large controversy during his first year.
Perusia took a nine-month gap year following the conclusion of his first full year at Alba. For the first three months he worked as a researcher at the Conservative Party headquarters in Castellum, the next three months he spent working at an internship at Verrucosus Industries, and would later spend the last three months touring the surrounding countries, with visits to Fakolana, Lyncanestria, and Arthurista.
Creation of peerage
Perusia was elevated to hereditary peer on 8 September 1972 after the assassination of his father. The peerage was posthumously created for his father Felix in honor of his service and dedication as both a member of the Latin military and statesmen, making Felix the first Lord of Istropolis. Due to the posthumous creation of the peerage, John is the current and second Lord of Istropolis.
In 2005, he was created the Duke of Perusia by Emperor Jason VI Augustus.
