The Mab' Tzakab is one of the Bolon Tzakab', nine of the twelve government departments of the Mutul Government. It take part in the gestion of the K'uhul Ajaw personal finances, control the use of its funds, and manage the revenues of the Divine Lord. As a result, it is a significative part of the Mutul economy even though it does not set policies or laws nor does it propose a government budget to the Three Blessed Courts.

Missions and Organisation

The Central Services of the Treasury, based in K'alak Muul, pilot a network of local General Treasuries which administer more closely at the provincial or regional level the royal assets, investments, and are in charge of recovering the proceeds of these activities as well as collect taxes, including tariffs and Customs.

The Treasury is thus divided into two main branches: the Taxes and Customs Directory and the Divine House Conglomerate which handle all the societies, enterprises, and other properties owned by the K'uhul Ajaw as well as all of their financial actives and investments in the Mutul or elsewhere. Three other support services exist to help those main branches in their daily activities: Informatics, Budget, and Human Resources Services.

Enterprises and companies fully owned by the K'uhul Ajaw include:

  • Causaway Construction Office: Civil engineering Construction of the Divine Throne specialized in the construction and maintenance of its national roads and highways. It makes most of its benefit through the exploitation of the Mutul' highway system and the perception of tolls from every user of the network. Its actual administration is left to the Ministry of Land Gestion.
  • Central Chocolate Mill: the 'Olman' is the Central bank of the Mutul and is fully owned by the K'uhul Ajaw. It manages the currency of the Mutul, the B'ul, and oversees the commercial banking system of the country. While the Treasury act as its main shareholder and client (the Central Chocolate Mill is responsible for the safekeeping of the K'uhul Ajaw finances) the Olman work with the Kan Tziknal on the country' monetary policies and on the regulation of the banking system.
    • Central Press: The currency factory of the Mutul, printing the B'ul depending on the Central Mill' direction.
    • Mutul Kakaw: The organism responsible for managing cacao plantations fully owned by the Central Chocolate Mill.

  • Electric Distribution Office: The sole Transmission system operator of the Mutul, it is the office in charge of the Natural monopoly of the Mutul over Electric power transmission. However, it neither produce electricity nor distribute it to the customers. It's job is to handle the security of the electrical grid in real time and co-ordinate the supply of and demand for electricity, in a manner that avoids fluctuations in frequency or interruptions of supply. Its actual administration is left to the Ministry of Land Gestion.

  • Railway Connection Office: Sole Railway infrastructure manager of the Divine Kingdom. It is tasked with the development, the cohesion, maintenance, and enhancement of the country's rail network. The Office does not possess any train of his own, but Rail transporters operating in the Mutul must pay fees and rights to the Office to use its network. Its actual administration is left to the Ministry of Land Gestion.
