Alexandria-Prussia Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) is an independent agency within the executive branch of the AP Central Government which is responsible for directing executive branch policies relating to the prevention of conflict of interest on the part of central executive branch officers and employees. Under the Government Ethics Act, this agency was originally part of the Office of Administration from 1978 until it separated in 1990.

Terms and List of Secretaries

The Secretary of Ethics and Compliance is appointed by the Minister-President and is confirmated by the AP House of Lords. The Secretary of OEC serves a five-year term, thereby overlapping minister-presidential terms, and is subject to no term limit. The rest of the OEC employees are career civil servants. Created by the Government Ethics Act of 1978, OEC separated from the Office of Administration in 1990 pursuant to reform legislation.
