Alexandria-Prussia Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is a cabinet-level executive branch department of the AP central government with the goal of protecting the health of all Alexandrian-Prussians and providing essential human services. Its motto is "Guiding the health, safety, and well-being of Alexandria-Prussia. Before the separate Departments of Education, Health and Human Services was created in 1980, it was called the Department of Public Welfare and Education (PWE).
HHS is administered by the Secretary of Health and Human Services, who is appointed by the Minister-President with the advice and consent of House of Lords. The current Secretary, Dr. Maura D. Isles-Grant, assumed office on July 27, 2020, upon her appointment by Minister-President McCord and confirmation by House of Lords.
History
Department of Health and Human Services was established on July 1, 2020, under the Reorganization Act of 2020. The objective was to bring together in one agency all central government programs in the fields of health, human services, and social security. With the reorganization act however it did abolish or return certain health and human services programs back to the individual countries to administer.

Terms and List of Secretaries
The Secretary of Health and Human Services must be confirmed by a simple majority vote in the House of Lords. Once confirmed by the House of Lords the secretary is appointed a four year term. There are no term limits on how long a secretary may serve. As of July 2020 there have only been one Secretary.
